mannc Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 The LA Lambs--57 first half yards vs the Steel Curtain of the SF 49ers. Wow. And no first round pick next year, either. But they have a great running back!

keepthefaith Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Good grief look at their 3 QB's: Keenum, Mannion, Goff. They'd trade with the Bills in a heartbeat.

Jamie Nails Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 The best recipe to get out season back on track is these teams back to back in weeks 5 and 6.
The Frankish Reich Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I was thinking the Niners game would be a cakewalk. I'm changing my mind.
mannc Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 I was thinking the Niners game would be a cakewalk. I'm changing my mind.Seriously? The Niners don't look great either. Blaine Gabbert is still Blaine Gabbert.

I'm pretty sure not beating these teams results in the first overall pick. Edited September 13, 2016 by over 20 years of fanhood
mannc Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 It might be time to bump the "How does Jeff Fisher still have a job?" thread.

The Frankish Reich Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Seriously? The Niners don't look great either. Blaine Gabbert is still Blaine Gabbert. Chip Kelly looks like he knows what he's doing, at least on the offensive side. Rams do have a good defense, and despite not having much in the way of offensive weapons, the Niners (and, shockingly, Gabbert) look competent. Did you watch the Bills-Ravens game?

mannc Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) You've got a point, Frankish. Chip can figure out how to score points even with very mediocre offensive talent. And yes, I did see the Bills' game, unfortunately. Edited September 13, 2016 by mannc
The Frankish Reich Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I knew he would come around You know what? I wasn't paying attention (who was?), but I looked it up: Gabbert actually didn't totally suck last year when he took over for Kaep. Alex Smith? Rich Gannon? Some other late bloomer? (I still think he sucks, but stranger things ...)
mannc Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 Imagine how bad Goff must be to be third on the Lambs' QB depth chart.
jr1 Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 they'll be able to draft a QB again next year
The Frankish Reich Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) Damn, didn't really need to hear Steve Young say that: "watching the Niners, everything says well-coached team ... " In position, not many penalties, good game plan ... When did anyone last say those things about Rex? EDIT: America's favorite knee taker may never see an NFL field again ... (I still think he sucks, but stranger things ...) he did go second I think, so the GMs thought he was good too, plus with his photographic memory I thought that would help out. But I have since learned that it Takes Spread QBs a really long time to get it if ever because they don't have to make reads in college , something that is essential in the NFL. Rex; when he went to the AFC Championship Krappernick; could get traded, knowing our luck Whaley would be all in they'll be able to draft a QB again next year if we don't beat them to it. Bubba Gump Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 EDIT: America's favorite knee taker may never see an NFL field again ... He's out there now in garbage time....how fitting. And, the Bills didn't score the least amount of points in week one, lol. Rams shut out!!!
KD in CA Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Imagine how bad Goff must be to be third on the Lambs' QB depth chart. He'll be starting by the time the Bills come to town.
