9-12 REX RYAN SHOW ON WGR (13:03)

REX- "Clearly being able to throw down the field is one of our strengths. We are not a team that will grind it out 1st down after 1st down."

REX- "You got make at least half the distance up in a 2nd and long situation."

REX- "I don't think you can replace McCoy, Shady is at a different level, no slight to Bush, McCoy is at a different level in the league."

REX- "We're hanging in there as a football team hoping to get another shot at it and unfortunately it didn't happen."

REX- "We're getting close on defense, we're getting sharp, we're not razor sharp but we are getting there."

REX- "We want him [Aaron Williams] healthy, and get him back to be confident, and be dominant, but sometimes it's best to take it slow."

REX- "After the game Sammy was really sore, and he expressed that to our trainers. That was the first time we heard about it."

REX- "Last year there were a couple games I told Greg that when we score here we're going for 2 for the win."

REX- "It's gonna be challenging, but both teams know each other, it'd be a lot more challenging if it were an opponent you didn't know."

REX- "The Jets looked really good in a losing effort to the Bengals, their run game was going and they stymied the Bengals run."

Gonna throw Eric Wood's WGR Show in here too:

9-12: ERIC WOOD ON WGR (21:03)

WOOD- "Extremely frustrating day offensively. Extremely frustrating loss. We're on to the Jets, but I'm not quite over yesterday."

WOOD- "We're on to New York now, we've got to put Baltimore behind us. We can't let that beat us twice."

WOOD- "At times when we were trying to take shots, those are longer developing plays, sometimes the protection didn't hold up."

WOOD- "We have to do a better job, We can't make plays down the field if we don't give Tyrod time and allow him to step into the throws."

WOOD- "We have protections that move Tyrod around but if not we're protecting him in the pocket. If he moves out of the pocket it's on him."

WOOD- "We're constantly trying to make adjustments to get over the hump. Try to figure out why we aren't executing."

WOOD- "We had a bad day on offense yesterday. Do I think that's indicative of what we'll be on offense for the year? No."

WOOD- "We have something to prove on offense Thursday night against the Jets."

WOOD- "I know that Kyle Williams doesn't have a Twitter because he's afraid that he might kill someone after the game."

Woods isn't masking his displeasure with Tyrod very well. Good. Hope it works.

you mean the single reference to the pocket? That could be taken two ways at least. But i first thought what you did.

Last year he moved out of his protection so much he caused his own grief, and sometime glory.

But not knowing where your QB is , nearly impossible to protect him.

Let th O line collapse naturally was my case last year and then step up. ( that would not have worked against the Ravens early btw ) Williams and jernigan were blowing up the a b gaps
