GG Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) This is not a thread to defend how poorly the Bills played today. But it's a total disservice to the Ravens to think that 5-11 is representative of actually how good this team is. There was a valid reason for the 5-11 record, when they had the worst injury record in the NFL last year including down to their 3rd & 4th string QBs by the end. For a better perspective, they appear to be more talented than the team that had an impressive playoff run in 2014. Edited September 11, 2016 by GG
Maury Ballstein Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 It's because I read the threads. A few said the Ravens will be mad they have Flacco instead of Tyrod. People love to forget Flacco's pedigree. Ravens at home are cash money.
Dirtbag Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 because somehow, other teams suck then get better. we just suck and then continue to suck. after that, we suck some more. it's like riding a perpetual treadmill of crapitude.

I've seen three or four posts like that today ("but the Ravens were 5-11") Thanks for bringing this out. No Terrell Suggs last year. No Flacco for many games. No Perriman. No Smith Sr.

Raiders and Jags look improved. Browns and Bills still look like Browns and Bills
LabattBlue Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Raiders and Jags look improved. Browns and Bills still look like Browns and Bills The Browns aka "Factory of Sadness" only exist to keep the Bills from being the joke of the NFL.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 The Browns aka "Factory of Sadness" only exist to keep the Bills from being the joke of the NFL. I like their long term chances better than ours.
Dirtbag Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I like their long term chances better than ours. whaley would burn through all of the browns 2017 draft picks like a mofo.
TPS Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Because most fans don't pay attention to what happens to other teams. They were 5-11, they must be bad.
OhDozeBills Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 They are not an elite team by any stretch. Well coached, decent defense (although Bills made them look all world) and Flacco. No real RB or WR threat, just don't see them doing much better than 8-8 this year.

They will definitely compete for the division title.

I had this game as an L as soon as I saw the schedule. True, the Bills could've won this game, but I've seen much better teams than them fail here.

They posted a whole bunch of stats on the scoreboard during the game about the ravens incredible home record since 2008? and a variety of other stats at home.

Money!!!!!! They are middle of the pack but you just knew we couldn't beat them.
djp14150 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Last year baltimoRe had a ton of I juries and a poor start. They starTed 1-6 and 4'8 with all the games one score games with many of them coming down to the last few minutes of the game. They easily could have gone 8-4 instead of 4-8 and been in the wildcard hunt last year.

26CornerBlitz Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Winnable game that was there for the taking.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 Who knows, they might just go 5-11 again. We were awful today, and wouldn't have beat anyone. The season is young. It's hard to know what this game says about the Ravens.
