Fadingpain Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Anyone else watching? Early domination by VA Tech but Tennessee showing some momentum now.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Anyone else watching? Early domination by VA Tech but Tennessee showing some momentum now. I will latter, how does it look with such a huge crowd?
DC Tom Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I will latter, how does it look with such a huge crowd? Looks like a football game with lots of racing terms thrown in by the announcers.
Fadingpain Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 I will latter, how does it look with such a huge crowd? They just showed the view from the broadcast booth. The field seemed like it was a mile away. Lots of people there no doubt. Good game too; 17-14 Tennessee now.

Fadingpain Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 There's a lot of dead space between the field and the first row of the stands. It's not just the race track. Lots of real estate out there.
sodbuster Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) Man, I thought the seats at UB were a long way from the field... Edited September 11, 2016 by sodbuster
Fadingpain Posted September 11, 2016 Author Posted September 11, 2016 Va Tech sporting their alternative "Hokie Stone" uniforms.
Augie Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 156,990 people with a view worse than mine. A record for bad views! (And attendance.)

thebug Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 I will latter, how does it look with such a huge crowd? Looks like the fans in the one end zone are likely in a different area code. What a brutal setup for a football game.

jimmy10 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 That huge circular Jumbotron thing suspended over the field by cables was pretty nuts. I don't think I would've been comfortable under that thing. It looked wild, and it would be an experience to be there for it, but yeah, a pretty crappy way to watch a football game. It's like when they play the Final Four in a football stadium. The venue is just way too friggin big for the game.
plenzmd1 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 Looks like the fans in the one end zone are likely in a different area code. What a brutal setup for a football game. know a ton of people that went...and the latest anyone arrived was Friday at noon. This was all about the party, the game was extremely secondary. Having said that,I get the feeling it is like that crazy rollercoaster you get the courage to ride, you do, enjoy the hell out it, but you will never do it again. At least for the old farts like me that were beat up even at 6 PM yesterday.
