26CornerBlitz Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) @CamInman #49ers Anthony Davis may be retiring again, this time in even more shocking fashion just shy of season opener https://t.co/S38pLM2zHm Edited September 10, 2016 by 26CornerBlitz
Blokestradamus Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 If his head and his heart aren't in it, he needs to walk away. Not a place to play half-hearted.

Augie Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) Crazy timing, and not really fair to your team. But he's got to do what's best for him. Who knows what he's been through? Edited September 10, 2016 by Augie
Blokestradamus Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 Would have been nice to figure that out before putting the team in such a precarious position just before the season starts. The team would've used him, chewed him up and spat him out without a second thought. @JasonColeBR Told by a source close to #49ers G Anthony Davis that he is not retiring.

Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 If his head and his heart aren't in it, he needs to walk away. Not a place to play half-hearted. nothing more annoying than guys wasting their talent. Even if I wasn't into it I'd stick around for the paycheck, can't make those at a regular job. I mean don't we all do that anyway.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 San Francisco 49ers @49ers Offensive lineman Anthony Davis informed the team that he has retired from the National Football League.
BADOLBILZ Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 The team would've used him, chewed him up and spat him out without a second thought. Or.....you could say........employed him.......paid him like a CEO.........and then replaced him with another deserving human being when that time came. I mean, they don't make these dudes into soylent green on cutdown day.

I think the greater concern is whether or not he knows what it is like to be a human being when retirement time comes.
Big C Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 Sounds like he didn't think it was worth it to play under Chip.
