Doc
Meh, not much of a WR. And he started off with the Cheaters. I'd rather have Ruben Randle.
starrymessenger
Return specialist? What about Bush and Powell? Would much rather see them bring in a TE, Manny, or even Gay (even tho I'm not a fan of 2 kickers) with the open spot. Doesn't make much sense to me. Agree. Head scratcher. Cecil Shorts is a great locker room guy too and a good mentor to younger receivers. Tate will not contribute to the passing game. I guess Bills like their wR corps or don't see any significant upgrades out there. Meh, not much of a WR. And he started off with the Cheaters. I'd rather have Ruben Randle. Randle has some talent but my Giants fan buddy tells me we would soon be very frustrated with his lack of effort, going down without contact, unforced running out of bounds etc... YoloinOhio
Joe B surmises he may return punts instead of Reggie. Reggie has looked better on the offense than as PR so I could see them maybe wanting to have him focus on his role in the O. Tate is a return specialist and a depth WR so makes sense. Reggie really looked good in camp IMO. http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/bills-sign-wide-receiver-brandon-tate Edited September 6, 2016 by YoloinOhio

Yeah, I heard that. But sounds like the same for Tate. So if you're going to add a guy like that, might as well add someone who has been a productive receiver. Maybe take him off of PR, where he didn't show much in preseason.Shady excused from practice today and we sign this guy... Don't like it. Maybe they need Bush at RB?@4joshreedAccording to the team LeSean McCoy is now at practice. Edited September 6, 2016 by YoloinOhio

He is lightning fast. And has some ability at WR as well. At least as good if not better than Marquis Goodwin. And he played with the Pats so he doesn't suck. Be excited for the season instead of worrying about the guys they bring in to fill out the bottom of the roster. If you know football well, you will know that just about everyone who plays in the NFL is an athlete. Some are better than others. But if you can last as long as Tate has, you have some game. ALF
I rather have Bush as a receiver out of the backfield. Let Tate do KO and PR

Blokestradamus
An assessment from Joe Goodberry. If you know Joe, you know he's a go-to source for the Bengals. @JoeGoodberry 22m22 minutes ago @RQUINN619 In all seriousness, he's just a guy. The coaches loved him for being a "pro". Has decent build-up speed, but acceleration and @JoeGoodberry 21m21 minutes ago @RQUINN619 stop & go sucks. Plays every WR spot, but not good at any. Will make a nice catch here and there. Safe returner (catching it) but @JoeGoodberry 21m21 minutes ago @RQUINN619 makes bonehead decisions in the return game. Should've been cut years ago. Not because he's bad, but because he isn't good. ChanOverChin
Tate is actually a nice pickup for the Bills at this point. He's a proven veteran player who can play on ST coverage and possibly be a red zone threat because of his height. Mostly though he will be used to return kicks and punts as our primary KR and PR. With Tate on the roster that means that Bush does not have to return punts or kicks.......or at least contribute in that regard sparingly. That frees Bush up to contribute more on offense, which should be a nice boost. McCoy is going to be the primary RB, but Bush could eventually take over the #2 RB duties full-time. He could become the third down specialist. He could be used more on passing downs and as a third WR. He could also be paired with McCoy as part of a two RB set. I like the idea of playing Taylor/McCoy/Bush/Watkins/Clay/Woods at the same time. That's a lot of guys who can take it to the house on any given play. Blokestradamus
so you are saying he's more of a "punt catcher" 69 fair catches. Very nice.
Bleeding Bills Blue
We looked at TE's and apparently didn't like any enough to make a move there. So we brought in a receiver who can apparently catch vs. the crew of guys we paraded out who could not. Hopefully he doesn't see the field. K D
Sounds like a good pickup. I think Goodwin will be injured by week 4 so this gives us some depth
