YoloinOhio Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) @salsports Bills Sign WR Brandon Tate; Add CB Marcus Roberson to Practice Squad Edited September 6, 2016 by YoloinOhio
YoloinOhio Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) What do we know about him?polarizing player in Cincy. He was beloved by half the fans as a respected vet and "hated" by the other half because they thought he wasn't that good. Overall he is an experienced et who always knew what to do and did the right thing. I think his talent/skill has dropped off a bit. I would compare his locker room presence/team role in Cincy to Fred Jackson. I think this article sums it up well http://www.cincyjungle.com/2016/8/31/12727272/bengals-players-and-coaches-react-to-brandon-tate-release Edited September 6, 2016 by YoloinOhio

Still, I like the vet leadership we have and think we're strong @ CB, so is this more KR skill?

Still, I like the vet leadership we have and think we're strong @ CB, so is this more KR skill?didnt mean it to be overly strong, but he was a big locker room leader who the team respected and looked to. That team has some issues internally and he was a model of doing the right thing. Cutting him for a rookie felt to many like when they cut Fred here. They replaced him with a younger, cheaper (and probably more explosive) player.
4merper4mer Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 What do we know about him? That if he doesn't pass his physical, we'll cut him.
The Dean Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Any word who the Bills dropped to make room for Tate?
YoloinOhio Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 (edited) Any word who the Bills dropped to make room for Tate?they actually had an open roster spot because of the Vitale fail. @salsports New Bills WR Brandon Tate is practicing today. Wearing number 15. Edited September 6, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Heitz Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I would compare his locker room presence/team role in Cincy to Fred Jackson. So, he's a Golden God?
Freddie's Dead Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 "Little Man" Tate. Hmmm.... Could be bad news for JCP.
OldTimer1960 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 they actually had an open roster spot because of the Vitale fail. @salsports New Bills WR Brandon Tate is practicing today. Wearing number 15. He isn't a great option at WR and they already have Reggie Bush penciled in at KR, so what will his role be? Bush is older than Tate, but I think think that Bush offers more as a RB/receiving option than Tate does at WR. Does Tate also do kick coverage?

OhDozeBills Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Return specialist? What about Bush and Powell? Would much rather see them bring in a TE, Manny, or even Gay (even tho I'm not a fan of 2 kickers) with the open spot. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Andrew Son Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Shady excused from practice today and we sign this guy... Don't like it. Maybe they need Bush at RB?
YoloinOhio Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 Tate has a ton of experience with preparing for the Ravens and the rest of that division. Shouldn't be overlooked.
The Dean Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 still 4 hrs to go before roster set, could be changes. Don't expect to see manny back, though. Yes, thanks. I had forgotten about the open spot.
