Blokestradamus
Has he done anything significant the last couple of years to be concerned about his ability? Averaged 25 yards per kickoff return in 2014. Injured most of last year, only active for 5 games. Even if he's not the athlete he once was, he's still got Devin Hester's vision. If the ball is in play, no mistakes can be made.
Doc
Has he done anything significant the last couple of years to be concerned about his ability? He was pretty good on KO returns (26.1 YPC but on just 9 returns) for the Falcons last year but horrible on punt returns.
machine gun kelly
He's lost his juice, amd the kick off rules have changed. As long as Carpenter has the leg to get it to the back end of the endzone.

Blokestradamus
Good thing we kept a crap load of good special teams players Week 1 should provide a good idea of exactly how good the kickoff coverage unit is. I'll be watching very closely.

/dev/null
too bad we didn't sign Hester. We could have taken a screenshot of Hester, Reggie Bush, Mario Williams, Matt Leinhart, and Vince Young and emailed it back to 2010. We would have been so jealous of our future selves
