YoloinOhio Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 @adamschefter Pro-Bowl return man Devin Hester has agreed to a one-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens, league source tells ESPN. Hester will sign today. Hope our ST units are ready
Blokestradamus Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Oh goodie. #FireCrossman is a go from Week 1. Wonderful news (not really wonderful news).
nucci Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Has he done anything significant the last couple of years to be concerned about his ability?
Blokestradamus Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Has he done anything significant the last couple of years to be concerned about his ability? Averaged 25 yards per kickoff return in 2014. Injured most of last year, only active for 5 games. Even if he's not the athlete he once was, he's still got Devin Hester's vision. If the ball is in play, no mistakes can be made.
Doc Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Has he done anything significant the last couple of years to be concerned about his ability? He was pretty good on KO returns (26.1 YPC but on just 9 returns) for the Falcons last year but horrible on punt returns.
machine gun kelly Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 He's lost his juice, amd the kick off rules have changed. As long as Carpenter has the leg to get it to the back end of the endzone.
nucci Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Thanks for the info guys.....not too concerned....too many other things to worry about...
Hardcore Bills Fan Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 and week one is all Hester will play, our ST will destory him.
K D Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Hester and Bush returning kicks. This would have been a great matchup in 2009!

Good thing we kept a crap load of good special teams players He's lost his juice, amd the kick off rules have changed. As long as Carpenter has the leg to get it to the back end of the endzone. Or get the ball up with some decent hang time
Blokestradamus Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 Good thing we kept a crap load of good special teams players Week 1 should provide a good idea of exactly how good the kickoff coverage unit is. I'll be watching very closely.
YoloinOhio Posted September 4, 2016 Author Posted September 4, 2016 @rapsheet The #Ravens one-year deal for returner/WR Devin Hester carries a max value of $4M, including incentives, source said
/dev/null Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 too bad we didn't sign Hester. We could have taken a screenshot of Hester, Reggie Bush, Mario Williams, Matt Leinhart, and Vince Young and emailed it back to 2010. We would have been so jealous of our future selves

Rubes Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I'm guessing we'll see a lot of very high, very short kickoffs.
Augie Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I'm guessing we'll see a lot of very high, very short kickoffs. ...and then a yellow flag. Isn't that part of the routine?
