Saxum Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Bears reportedly sign three-time Pro Bowler Kyle Long to $40 million extension http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/bears-reportedly-sign-three-time-pro-bowler-kyle-long-to-40-million-extension/ The Bears signed Long to a four-year extension worth $40 million with $30 million guaranteed. That's the most guaranteed money for any guard in the NFL Long just received quite the pay raise. His rookie contract, which was set to expire after the 2017 season, had an average annual salary of just over $2 million, per Spotrac. So, that's a win for Long. It's also a win for the Bears. Long, drafted 20th overall in 2013, has been in the league for three seasons. He made the Pro Bowl in all three of those seasons, as a guard in 2013 and 2014 and as a tackle in 2015.
