YoloinOhio Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 (edited) Nice ROI on #8 overall pick from 2 years ago Woof. This is who they took instead of Sammy Watkins. @rapsheet The #Browns traded former first-round CB Justin Gilbert to the #Steelers for a 6th rounder in 2018, source said. baskingridgebillsfan Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 The deal is now Watkins for Shelton. I get it the Browns didn't draft well, However the bills got the sure thing .

starrymessenger Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 To a divisional rival no less. Browns clearly not losing any sleep over this guy.
BaaadThingsMan Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 To a divisional rival no less. Browns clearly not losing any sleep over this guy. my thoughts exactly
YoloinOhio Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 To a divisional rival no less. Browns clearly not losing any sleep over this guy. he is both an idiot and a bad football player
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 I said it with the Mingo trade. I love trading low draft pick for ex 1st rounders. May never turn into anything but it's worth a 6th rounder to kick the tires on.
baskingridgebillsfan Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 watkins for cam Erving. They drafted Shelton with their 1st pick and Erving with ours. Apologies. Erving for Watkins is even better

C.Biscuit97 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Whaley has generally done it via trade/FA and I dig it I love those moves. If someone can bump the Hughes trade, I was all about it before he played a down for us. I think the 49ers did this a few years ago. Carlos Rogers was a giant bust for Wash and became a good starter on their SB team. Sometimes a chance of scenery is the best thing for a player.
aristocrat Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 sometimes you just have to get out of a toxic place like cle to revive your career. might be able to be coached up in pitt. his measurables are great...good size and great speed.

Scheme, personality clashes with coaches, local distractions... All can be issues in one city and not the next but you normally get a guy with elite physical skills. Even if they don't maximize output you often get a decent role player and cheap.... And sometimes you get Jerry Hughes!

Helped Russ cockrell. He has Been stud for the steelers.
YoloinOhio Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 (edited) Steelers gave up nothing and really need talent in their secondary so we will see. Their scheme is a little different, their CBs play zone...to the point they were able to use a guy like Cockrell. These are guys who are toast in man coverage. Edited September 3, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Bangarang Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 So.....the Browns got more trade value from a 34 year old punter than a guy they drafted 8th overall 2 years ago?
Chandler#81 Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 Sammy & Robert both burn this over-hyped toast, so I'm not surprised and happy we play Pittsburgh at home this season.

Yeah when the Steelers travel to Buffalo you might want focus less on the Steelers secondary than how the Bills secondary will handle that Steeler offense
