CSBill
The title says it all: When does it start? And who of the recent cuts do you think lands there? And it is probably impossible to predict, but they always seem to get guys dumped by other teams. Any hints of who?
YoloinOhio
They can sign players to the PS starting at 12pm tomorrow.
Fixxxer
Looking strictly within our most recent roster: Â TE Blake Annen, if neck injury cheks out DL Lavar Edwards ILB Randell Johnson WR Dez Lewis OT Marquis Lucas OG Cyril Richardson DT Justin ZImmer LB Max Valles LB Eric Striker K Jordan Gay
CSBill
I say . . . Â Blake Annen (an athlete, like most TE, needs time to develop) and Dez Lewis (showed enough in Mini-Camp and early in Pre-Season to stay with him)
YoloinOhio
Here are the PS eligible players from Bills: http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2016/09/02/bills-with-practice-squad-eligibility/ Â I would go with Wilder, Annen, Valles, Lewis Edited September 3, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
You have limited slots, can't see using one on a kicker who's only reason he's even been with the Bills is because Carp has a weak leg for kick offs. If Carp were to get hurt, they could either likely sign gay as a street FA or sign some ex kicker who is currently not working.

The odds of him being picked up by another team are pretty remote. They can just let him wait at home. If they decide they need him just resign him. And he gains very little with regards to learning the playbook, and provides little in added practice versatility (running a scout team). Unless you are simply wanting to limit carps practice attempts dramatically there's absolutely no value and I'd hope the kicker we kept would be able to handle the basics asked if 31 others with regards to practice
fansince88
I think they go heavy OL in the PS from other teams cuts. our back ups are troublesome.

I guess it's easier for him to practice in the Bills facilities than on his own, plus Carpenter wouldn't have to wear down his legs during the season by kicking in practice. I understand that we might be better of giving the PS spot to a more valuable position, though.

NoSaint
I agree with you but how big of a playbook does a kickoff specialist have? Exactly my point though maybe could've worded better. A linebacker (or wr or TE or...) has much more to learn, is more likely to be needed AND helps scout team...
