I don't know, I'm pessimistic this year some, but I'm getting excited for this Sunday. Big party at my friend's tiki bar, lots of people, liquor, and food. Don't get better than that...................maybe a "W"

#Bills Notes: QB Taylor decent passing tools and plus athleticism. The trick is blending those into quarterbacking discipline.

#Bills Notes: Taylor must get calmer in the pocket. Tendency to breakdown too early and flee. Normal for inexperienced athletic QB.

#Bills Notes: Taylor also not an anticipation passer (which they say can’t be taught). He must see receivers open before firing.

#Bills Notes: when your QB is not an anticipation passer, your passing game tends to adopt more isolation routes. BUF did that in ’15.

#Bills Notes: Taylor one of the five best deep ball throwers in the NFL. Greg Roman needs to let him show that at least 3 times a game.

#Bills Notes: the beauty of deep balls, especially along sideline, is they’re often very simple reads. Good way to help Taylor.

#Bills Notes: seems like RB McCoy getting overlooked. Still one of 3 or 4 best creators in football.

#Bills Notes: BUF very good out of 2 RB sets, especially out of shotgun. No surprise they’ve stockpiled depth at RB.

#Bills Notes: Watkins very explosive vertical threat. Good feel for body control in his route execution.

#Bills Notes: Who takes pressure off Watkins vertically. Goodwin can, but not on everydown basis. Woods a shallow level receiver.

#Bills Notes: would expect more expansive usage of Charles Clay this year. A true mismatch maker.

#Bills Notes: Clay often the beneficiary of plays dialed up to beat specific coverages. BUF likely to call these more in Year 2 with Taylor.

#Bills Notes: LT Glenn is a guy you don’t notice in pass protection. That’s a good thing.

#Bills Notes: LG Incognito one of the best pull-blockers in NFL. Huge asset in a gap scheme run game like this.

#Bills Notes: C Wood also mobile and versatile in the run game.

#Bills Notes: Jerry Hughes has the best inside redirect move in the NFL. Offensive tackles must be on high alert for him to crossover.

#Bills Notes: Dareus much too quiet last season. That needs to change in a D scheme built on destruction and penetration up front.

#Bills Notes: Rex’s pressure designs as much about creating incompletions as they are sacks.

#Bills Notes: Rex also big on building the illusion of pressure. It’s all about making a QB speed up mentally.

#Bills Notes: Darby and Gilmore the best CB tandem in the NFL. Might not even be close after this season.

#Bills Notes: safeties Graham and A. Williams both have cornerbacking experience. Critical in today’s NFL w/ all the flex TE’s.

#Bills Notes: CB Robey a top level slot blitzer. Need to see him used this way more often in 2016.

Rex wary of Ravens special teams prowess
Bills head coach Rex Ryan spent 10 years coaching in Baltimore, so he knows the team’s history and their calling cards. Physicality in their play is one of them. The other is creating advantages on special teams to provide their offense and defense with field position advantage throughout games. With their head coach John Harbaugh a former special teams coordinator himself, Ryan knows for Buffalo’s specialists it will be a challenging opening week.

LB McCray expected to be up on Sunday

Bills LB Lerentee McCray has only been with the club for a little over a week, but Rex Ryan fully intends to have the player acquired via trade with Green Bay in uniform Week 1.

When asked if McCray being up or down on Sunday in Baltimore would be a wait and see, Ryan confirmed that he intends for the linebacker to be active on game day.

Whoa

Which is interesting when in his MMQB article scouting the bills he said:

The best one-two NFL cornerback tandem outside the one in Denver isStephon Gilmore and Ronald Darby.
