The Wiz Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I don't think shady like running behind a FB @BuffaloWins McCoy numbers by formation: Shotgun: 5.0 YPC Lone Setback: 4.5 YPC I formation: 2.0 YPC Looks like you're right SWAT.
LeGOATski Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Very happy for Gronk, if he makes the team. Looks like he has a great shot now. He's working really hard. The best block I saw all preseason was from Felton. But, those shining moments were too few, I guess, and marred by other bad moments.
Freddie's Dead Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Felton was as useless as breasts on a bull. Bye.
NoSaint Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I was asking why he was even on the team last year with so few snaps. keeping him wouldnt have been a big deal, but it was surprising how little play he got given the contract he had (not huge, but big for the position). i kind of wondered if they put together an offseason plan prior to the shady trade figuring a different back that would be going behind a FB, and just didnt give enough thought to the style of runner mccoy is in the time in between the trade and free agency.
sodbuster Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 He really turned it around after the first preseason game. Poor kid was probably a little caught up in the moment. I can't imagine how I would feel suiting up for the hometown team for the first time.
The Frankish Reich Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 @BuffaloWins McCoy numbers by formation: Shotgun: 5.0 YPC Lone Setback: 4.5 YPC I formation: 2.0 YPC Excellent point ... the stats back up my impressions. McCoy follows his blockers less than any other player I've watched recently. It's unorthodox but obviously effective. By the way, I don't think AP misses him a whole lot either.
mikemac2001 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Wasn't money He was a waste of a Roster spot
Peter Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 @BuffaloWins McCoy numbers by formation: Shotgun: 5.0 YPC Lone Setback: 4.5 YPC I formation: 2.0 YPC Wow. There is your answer. As an aside, I remember watching him miss blocks last year and not thinking he was as special as his reputation.
Cash Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I'm sure Felton will catch on somewhere else, and I wish him the best, but I'm not very surprised or disappointed by this. You can't give a FB the most expensive contract at his position unless you're going to play him a lot. I don't recall the playtime stats from last year, but the Buffalo News reported Felton's a few times - it was something like 12% of snaps. Way too low to merit his salary, whatever it was. I tend to agree with NoSaint, that Felton was part of Plan A, which was semi-scrapped once Shady became available.
TallskiWallski83 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 gronk has potential, great bloodlines and offers a more diverse skillset at a cheaper price than Felton. Makes sense
26CornerBlitz Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 @jfelton45 Thanks to everybody in and around the bills organization!! I enjoyed playing for the #BillsMafia far from finished
The Frankish Reich Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 gronk has potential, great bloodlines and offers a more diverse skillset at a cheaper price than Felton. Makes sense Maybe he'll still have a growth spurt.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Maybe he'll still have a growth spurt. 6' 6" 265 lbs with 4.6 speed would be nice if he's still growing.
Fadingpain Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 He just didn't bring much to the table Neither did Gronk.
Bigantall Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I will have to agree with the masses,Felton just didn't make sense keeping on the roster didn't think it was a good signing anyway, now if only they would cut glass Goodwin I'll have better hope for our team.

One of his greatest strengths is waiting for creases to open up and then exploit at high speed.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I actually liked him as a player. Oh well. I did too. He wasn't much as a receiver or runner, but he did lay a nice block. Time will tell. But if Rex likes him some Baby Gronk is there a Baby Brady (Brady relative) lurking about somewhere?
