Original Byrd Man Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I couldn't believe his comment that the Bill's could get 2 number 1's for EJ in the right situation. I wonder if he knows Marijuana is not legal in Michigan. I think EJ has made improvements this year, but not that much.
D521646 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 He was speaking in the extreme. If a team was desperate enough, kind of situation. No one thinks EJ commands 2 1st's, but I think in the right situation a 1st rounder isn't out of the realm. Tim-
Captain Caveman Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I guess the right situation would be that the top 70 QBs (minus EJ, who I would put somewhere around 45) in the country all are incapacitated at the same time, in the week before the trade deadline, and the best team in the league things they are that one spot away from winning a Super Bowl.

No one thinks EJ commands 2 1st's, but I think in the right situation a 1st rounder isn't out of the realm. Tim- Is that the same as pulling absurd nonsense out of his ass? If someone was desperate enough to offer a 3d the Bills would jump all over it. Even that won't happen.
RussellDopeland Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Tasker has been selling cars on TV for years- he's just trying to hoodwink a team into buying a car from the Bills, and paying through the nose to get it. If it works...great. And if Taylor gets hurt, you might as well play the raw rookie because the season is over.

No one thinks EJ commands 2 1st's, but I think in the right situation a 1st rounder isn't out of the realm. Tim- NFW. They could maybe get a 4th if a team was really desperate. Cassel-type compensation is more likely.

No one thinks EJ commands 2 1st's, but I think in the right situation a 1st rounder isn't out of the realm. Tim- Hahaha! It was a stupid thing to say. There is no situation where a team would give up 2 1st round picks for EJM. None.
The Frankish Reich Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Just curious - what do people think EJ would get in a trade? I'll start the bidding: with just one year of team control left, I think a desperate team might go all the way up to a 5th rounder.

Maybe a conditional 5th (assuming he starts / wins a certain number of games?) Still seems high to me.
thm Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Tasker is a stuttering , stammering , bumbling excuse of an announcer.....hey steve STFU already...
mrags Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I see his announcement expectations are just as bad as his expectations for the HoF
jimmy10 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 (edited) It was a complete "For instance, if..." hypothetical. He was following up comments about the Bills wanting to stick with EJ as their backup but that every player is negotiable at the right price, and there are some desperate QB situations out there. It was ridiculous. No team is desperate enough to pay two #1s or even #1 and #2 picks for any back up QB in the league. Most of the starting QBs wouldn't even fetch that price.
The Frankish Reich Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Maybe a conditional 5th (assuming he starts / wins a certain number of games?) Still seems high to me. Do I hear a 4th? Anyone? Hello? Sold to the highest bidder: a conditional 5th from the ... Vikings maybe?

26CornerBlitz Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Alrighty then. Remind me never to use hyperbole around you guys. No way Tasker is smooth enough to use hyperbole for effect like you might. The statement was in line with other Whiskey Tango Foxtrot things he has stated before.

QB Bills Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 He's just trying to hoodwink some dumb gm listening to his commentary Besides, he didn't say what draft he was referring to. Might be two firsts in the cfl draft
