Over 29 years of fanhood Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 In a world where there is no salary cap or roster limit, they keep him and he plays significant snaps, I think. Was A solid players whose production and versitility will be missed early and often unless of course age has impacted his over the past off season.
White Linen Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 No it makes sense - cut the most experienced, versatile LB in a highly complicated defense that requires experienced, versatile LBs and doesn't have enough of them... This is such a Bills move. Or we can just let the professionals do their job and cut who they feel needs to be cut. Do you want us to believe you know better?
The Frankish Reich Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Or we can just let the professionals do their job and cut who they feel needs to be cut. Do you want us to believe you know better? Yes, we really should shut down all these discussion boards. Life would be more fun if we just deferred to the experts and didn't share all of our half-informed opinions. Damn the internet!
Mr. WEO Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Or we can just let the professionals do their job and cut who they feel needs to be cut. Do you want us to believe you know better? Yeah, what could go wrong?
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Note to self....draft running backs in my fantasy league who face the Bills this year CBF This. Swiss cheese.
Saxum Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Has anyone considered that Whaley went rogue again?? No that was stupid the first time and would be even more stupid now. Maybe that's why the team is leaking the domestic issues... Team was not leaking issue.
Mr. WEO Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Maybe he just got circumcised and the info was confused by Schefter.. No that was stupid the first time and would be even more stupid now. Team was not leaking issue. How do you know who Graham's sources were?
Kelly the Dog Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 It was very strange to see him playing last night with the scrubs. And he didn't look too good. Still a weird cut. Hopefully they have a wink wink deal to sign him back. I'm of the opinion that there will be at least three and possibly four different players on the roster when the season starts than now.
Franchiseneedsme Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Rex setting up a contract for Quentin Coples? My first thought also

I hope so. That should be the case with all mediocre teams (and let's face facts, that's what the Bills have been). For example: it looks like all of the Broncos draft picks will be making the team, so there will be some pretty good players there hitting the open market. Same with some of the other really good teams for salary cap and other reasons. This is a perfectly sensible strategy for incremental improvement.
reddogblitz Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I was surprised. Manny made some plays. However I won't miss his crashing in from the outside and getting run around by RBs and QBs for big gains. He did it twice in one of those losses vs the Cheaps resulting in TDs (and a loss).
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 I don't get it. Manny waa quietly good for us last year. It made sense to draft Shaq because Manny was in his last year, but with our injuries he was an ideal vet to hold down the fort. They must have really seen someone they liked in Lorenzo Alexander.

I still haven't forgiven him for that.
CNY315 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 They must have really seen someone they liked in Lorenzo Alexander. They may like the other LB they traded for too. Can't remember his name
K-9 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Has anyone considered that Whaley went rogue again?? Yep and I understand the marketing folks at Key Bank are pissed. They just did a bunch of TV and radio spots with Manny. Berchtold is gonna hear about this.
MattM Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 The Coples signing idea (or a bring him back after he shops himself idea) makes sense to me. Just hope we don't somehow get burned here and lose both.
mountainwampus Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 This team doesn't have enough DE/OLBs. The guys we have picked up are basically walk-on UDFA quality. Even if Manny wasn't producing, you've got to cut him some slack when the roster is so void of decent alternatives. This is curtains.
