Yes... again.

I had to they gave us 3 free days if we booked 4 to go with the 10 from June.

Back late on the 8th.

I'll go easy on the consumption of the vanilla vodka to save up for the TBDAHOT on the 15th.

Prefer someplace where I can walk safely outside the resort gate.

why would you want to leave the resort and free drinks/food/party?

And compared to some other places like the Dominican, and Mexico it's actually not too bad

Damn if I could only get a deal like this for the opener.

Sounds like what I want my retirement to look like. A constant all inclusive party

Take a look at the all-inclusive resorts in the Dominican Republic. Me and the Mrs. are going after Thanksgiving to the Sunscape Puerta Plata. With airfare from Boston, five nights, $1200 for the two of us. Many similar deals available from cheapcaribbean.com. Place has good ratings on Trip Advisor. I'll let you know how it is.

We went to the Hard Rock Resort in Punta Cana this past February. Was a really nice all-inclusive with great food, top shelf drinks, and great entertainment including a pretty decent casino. Only draw back was that it was very busy and crowded...very loud with people partying at all hours of the night. The beaches there are great though.

Fair warning...going through customs at the airport is hell. Expect to wait in line for 2-3 hours, and bring cash as they charge you something like $40 per person to even go through customs (cash only).

Edit: looks like you will be flying into a different airport than we did, but expect a similar experience just in case.

ive been to Punta Cana. This past year my wife and I went to the Grand Palladium there. I loved the water but it wasn't nearly as crystal clear as Jamaica or Mexico.

The beaches in Mexico (Playa Del Carmen) have been some of the best I've ever been to.

I've been to Montego Bay, Jamaica and I've both loved it and hated it. Well, how much can you really hate Jamaica? Lol. But some of the beaches were very Rock covered and not what I was hoping.

Going to Negril Jamaica in a few months for a wedding and can't wait. I've been told 7 mile beach is amazing. So I'm super stoked for that.

Funny. When my wife and I went in April there was hardly a wait. 20-30 minutes tops. I think we paid $15/each for whatever fees there was.

Yes, I believe it is. For some reason I thought it was more expensive than $10 though. Never paid any such fee traveling to Jamaica, Antigua, or the Bahamas.

Yeah, we went at the peak of tourist season in February. Probably why the lines were so long.

She is talking about Jamaica not Cuba...

Been reading up on Puerto Plata, DR. Seems like a town with some history and architecture to see. Then I hear there was a shooting on the Malecon (waterfront) two days ago. :(

the DR is really sketchy. I'm just sayin. I've been to Jamaica, DR, Cancun and Playa Del Carmen and DR is by far the shadiest. JMO
