Hardcore Bills Fan
If DW is the kind of GM I think he is, I would hope he invites this guy in for a tryout before the Lions game.At the very least this guy can do both duties over Carp and Gay. 26CornerBlitz
Carp's job is secure.
Doc
He's 4-6 this pre-season, missing a kick between 30-39 yards and one over 50 yards. Pass.
K D
Carp has had the best training camp by a Bills kicker in many years. You have a better chance of signing on with the Bills than any kicker does
Blokestradamus
Missed 2 FG's in Week 1, missed an XP in Week 2. 4 touchbacks on 7 kickoffs is better than his record at Duke though.
thebandit27
I actually wanted us to draft Martin with our last pick--he's got a cannon leg. I don't think that there's a job for any kicker other than Carp this year though, especially if Kroy Biermann makes the final roster, since he can emergency kick if necessary. 26CornerBlitz
@MatthewFairburn Rex Ryan said the Bills will probably make a decision on whether to keep two kickers after the final preseason game. @viccarucci #Bills "pretty close" to deciding on kicker. Pleased w Carpenter & Gay on KOs. Doesn't plan to make decision before final preseason game. Edited August 29, 2016 by 26CornerBlitz

CardinalScotts
Carpenter has been locked in this camp/preseason. Last year was completely the effects of a pulled hamstring early on.
The Dean
It seems the latest kickoff the rule change has teams kicking off short more often, and defending the return, versus trying for the touchback. If the Bills decide to pursue that strategy, Carpenter is more than good enough to do double duty, IMO. I suppose there could be some concern about his leg tiring as the season progresses. But I really hope the Bills don't carry two kickers, this year.

That is what you meant, right? haha
