YoloinOhio Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 @misterpotroast Well it's been real New England. The road continues Could help during Dareus suspension
Blokestradamus Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I most definitely have heard of him. Fairly sure he'd be a better NT than Walker or Ta'amu for 4 weeks if they want to keep a true NT.
thebandit27 Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I'm skeptical of anyone that NE cuts, simply because Belichick usually has a good handle on when guys are close to the cliff production-wise. That said, if the team believes that he can contribute snaps at the nose until Dareus comes back, there's no downside at this point.

Blokestradamus Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 and good for the DL rotation when Marcell is back I wouldn't hate Knighton playing NT all year in base. Kyle and Marcell either side once he's back. Washington, Bryant, Worthy as depth. I assume he'd take something barely above vet min salary for a job at this point. Was due $2m this year in NE.
Doc Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I remember how some people said Belichick was a genius for signing him because of the new rules outlawing cut blocking.
CommonCents Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 He didn't get on the field for game 3 of the preseason, read into it what you want but Anthony Johnson was impressive throughout the offseason and may just out worked him. I'm assuming with this cut Johnson makes the team. Potroast = worth a look

He sounded hacked off about not getting playing time in the preseason, so maybe we can use schadenfreude to help lure him here

Formerly Allan in MD Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Was overweight and out of shape with the Redskins. This may be the current state of affairs as well.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I remember how some people said Belichick was a genius for signing him because of the new rules outlawing cut blocking. Signing him was genius. Cutting him was genius.

26CornerBlitz Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I thought his nickname was pork chop? Pot Roast.
Ralonzo Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Buffalo has a built-in advantage to signing Knighton: Wegmans https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Lnisyxm4Jc
YoloinOhio Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 Pot Roast and Meatball on the same DL, plus Hot Sauce #22 Mmmm
Coach Tuesday Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 He has always had weight issues, which is why teams won't sign him beyond one year - and probably is why NE released him. Looks like NE might release Branch too.
thebandit27 Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Was terrible last year for washington 1.5 sacks and 17 solo tackles isn't bad for a part-time guy whose job is to occupy blockers. FWIW, he also graded out quite well in advanced stat metrics like PFF.
