realtruelove Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 It sounds far fetched but what if the situation was right?
26CornerBlitz Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) No! He's completely shot out and a ghost of the former great QB we used to see. Why embarrass himself? Edited August 28, 2016 by 26CornerBlitz
Kelly the Dog Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 No! He's completely shot out and a ghost of the former great QB we used to see. Why embarrass himself? That didn't stop him last year.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Yeah but I doubt he expected to be anywhere as bad last year as he was. He also suffered getting benched for the 1st time ever. Really can't see it happening. That didn't stop him last year.
The Wiz Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 He won't come out of retirement for multiple reasons but probably the most important reason is that "chicken parm you taste so good" Seriously though. I think he would rather end on a high note.
apuszczalowski Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 No! He's completely shot out and a ghost of the former great QB we used to see. Why embarrass himself?you know your good when your shot and embarrassing yourself results in getting another SB ring
26CornerBlitz Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 you know your good when your shot and embarrassing yourself results in getting another SB ring Thanks to Wade Phiilips and the Denver defensive unit. Manning was awful in that game.
QB Bills Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 There's also that whole cloud of PED suspicion around him. He won't come back for that alone, assuming he is guilty. Which I think he is.
/dev/null Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Manning hit the wall in 2014 and should have retired then. But he stuck around another year and hit the lottery with Wade's Defense and came away with a Super Bowl ring He'd be a fool to mount a comeback

PromoTheRobot Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 No! He's completely shot out and a ghost of the former great QB we used to see. Why embarrass himself?Plus Peyton's road to a retirement media career is already paved. Pregame shows, maybe some comic acting in a Judd Apatow movie?
Saxum Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 That didn't stop him last year. No it didn't and despite claims about his arm his brain allowed him to get a lot of downs other QBs couldn't.
/dev/null Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 For giggles I checked up on Peyton's contract status. He's still technically contracted to the Broncos, so any comeback would require compensation to Denver
chris heff Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 For giggles I checked up on Peyton's contract status. He's still technically contracted to the Broncos, so any comeback would require compensation to DenverI think they mean in light of the QB situation in Denver, would he come back with them. I was just thinking, has any other QB started and won SB for two different teams?

I was just thinking, has any other QB started and won SB for two different teams? Manning is the only QB to win a Super Bowl with two different teams. Craig Morton (Dallas, Denver) and Kurt Warner (Rams, Arizona) started for two different teams, but did not win for both

Hapless Bills Fan Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 It sounds far fetched but what if the situation was right? God, I hope not - for his sake. He ended on a high note, got his 2nd Superbowl ring, and is still able to move his limbs and his neck. Quit while you're ahead, and stay quit.
Mr. WEO Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 as long as he brought the 2015 Denver Defense, Kubiak and Wade with him, I'm sure a few teams would give his tires a kick.
