D521646 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I know Corey White is getting some deserved love today, but I thought our best CB last night was Butler. He basically shut down his side of the field, and I know when they look at the tape they'll see why Cousins and Co didn't go his way too often. Other standouts, Worthy, Washington, and Alexander. Beirman was ok, but you can see why Atlanta released him, he's lost a step or two. I also want to shout out for Colt Anderson, who I thought outplayed Duke by far. Duke is a good backup, but he suffers from inconsistency at times. I think he might be cut in two weeks. Meeks looked ok as well.. Thoughts on who you thought stood out? Tim-
Doc Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Powell should make it and replace Bush on returns, allowing him to save his energy for offense.
The Wiz Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Powell for sure. Knew nothing about the guy till I went to camp. Clearly stood out there and has in all 3 preseason games.
MarkAF43 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 With Powell Rex has been saying he needs to be more consistent in everything he does. So as good as he's been in games, something in practice is keeping the coaching staff from being hugely supportive of him.
Rubes Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Powell should make it and replace Bush on returns, allowing him to save his energy for offense. I thought Rex said Gilleslee was the #2 (assuming he comes back from the concussion).
Doc Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 BTW, did anyone notice who they had back there returning KOs (they were all TBs).
