And apparently the 49'ers agree...................

What does that even mean ?

I presume it means ensuring we have enough safe spaces for Trump supporters here in San Fran and requiring local radio here to offer equal programming time to conservatives.

Yet... It is supposedly systemic w/in The whole very socially liberal Bay Area... Somehow it survives and does well while a lot think it is the coolest, hippist place on earth. Imagine that?

What does that have to do with the Niners front office being the worst in the NFL?

Team Finds Perfect Way To STOP Soccer Player From Kneeling During Anthem, She’s LIVID

http://thefederalistpapers.org/us/team-finds-perfect-way-to-stop-soccer-player-from-kneeling-during-anthem-shes-livid

The Washington Spirit soccer team found an ingenious way to stop midfielder Megan Rapinoe, of their opposing team the Seattle Reign, from disrespecting the National Anthem as she has previously done and planned to continue doing.

The Associated Press and TheBlaze reported that The Washington Spirit decided to deny Rapinoe her chance to disrespect the country by moving up the National Anthem in the pregame ceremonies at Maryland SoccerPlex, so that it played while the players were off the field.

In a statement about the move, the Spirit said: “We decided to play the anthem in our stadium ahead of schedule rather than subject our fans and friends to the disrespect we feel such an act would represent.”

meganrapinoe.jpg

Rapinoe, who first knelt during the anthem Sunday in Chicago as “a little nod” to San Francisco 49ers back-up quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s move to thumb his nose at this country (based on lies), simply — and crudely — responded to The Spirit’s decision by calling it “f***ing unbelievable.”

“I think it was incredibly distasteful to say that I, four days before one of the worst tragedies we’ve had in our country … hijacked this event,” Rapinoe incoherently opined.
I certainly agree with the "incoherent" part......................

She was cut off @ the pass by an Orwellian move... She needs to say nothing. Move on Babe, pick and choose your battles elsewhere. Don't play into the Orwellian hands, you will surely lose.

Nothing. Just liberal bashing. We all love little SoProg slamming, don't we?

I have no idea what SoProg is and seems like google doesn't either.

Tony Kornheiser was talking about this this week (and he's mainly liberal) - he was laughing about how this tirade showed how obvious it was all about herself.

What does "Orwellian" mean to you? How is a schedule change an example of it?

I'm going to guess "Socialist Progressive". Which sounds like it would be redundant, but they have to make the distinction between "Communist" or "Regressive".

How do you guys feel about the strong possibility that the entire Seahawks team protests tommorrow? How about the other players that decide to sit/kneel? I think it's pretty outrageous that on a day when some teams are wearing things to honor 9/11 others will be sitting in protest.

I will reserve judgment until I see it. We were promised that it would be respectful.

Also, I actually don't mind the "kneeling" as opposed to sitting during the anthem. Kneeling is actually a sign of honor in many cultures. (and religions).

Just call it Tebow-ing.

Yeah I'm taking the wait and see approach, I'm more fired up about it than I expected. 9/11 hits home for me as it does many others....I know it sounds childish or maybe overplayed but I'm strongly considering letting go of the Seahawks D and Thomas Rawls depending on how tomorrow goes. Fantasy is nice and money is always good but I'm going to have a hard time routing for anyone that is so out of touch. If they waited til next week or a future date I wouldn't let it bother me.

Tomorrow is a day the entire country should stand in unity.

I think the Seahawks and all other athletes should find another way to express their views. They should not involve themselves in protests of any kind during the course of a game or a game broadcast or during any stadium activity. That and the way this is being done during the National Anthem certainly gets a lot of attention but it also pisses off a lot of people who won't be simpathetic to their cause due to how and where they protest. If the entire Seahawks team takes a knee during the National Anthem on Sunday, they will get hammered all of next week for protesting in very poor taste.

If they do that I would suggest that all of the fans immediately leave the stadium.

From reading Doug Baldwin's latest tweet it seems that the Seahawks may all stand together with arms interlocked. That would be an emotional moment and it would serve a much better purpose than random people kneeling/sitting alone.

Seeing 53 strong standing together with black and white interlocked together would be well done. I'm ready for some unity and less divisiveness, you can address issues while standing together. Enough finger pointing, work together and improve our way of life.

That's a term I use to describe today's Democrats. It's short for Socialist Progressive. They're farther left than progressives, prefer the US to be a socialist state, but don't have the gonads to admitting it publicly.

They believe the problem with our government is that it doesn't go far enough to take control over everyone's lives for the sake of making things fair for everyone.

They believe the fastest way to accomplish this is to specifically cap what a person can earn and taking everything they earn over that cap. You will hear them repeat the president, who once explained that "I do think that at some point you've made enough money."

They believe the US should look to Sweden as a model of prosperity for all because Sweden was the home of Ikea.

They generally stand out by wearing a Che t-shirt.

Seems like a real good move.

The thing about this Swedish love is how much do they benefit by us having their back in terms of defense spending, and having a homogeneous society?

None. Sweden's enforced their own armed neutrality for 200 years. Aside from helicopters and some specialty items (sniper rifles, Special Ops equipment) they're pretty much independent.

What do you think would have happened if the USSR decided it wanted Scandinavia? Serious question
