BringBackFergy Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 There are certain expressions that really piss me off: 1) "Might as well have him in and kick the tires" 2) "...and like that" 3) "It weren't me"
ExiledInIllinois Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Nothing makes my blood boil... I am as cool as a cucumber... Fergy, you need to relax. "Dont Take Anything Personally Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you wont be the victim of needless suffering." :-P
Cugalabanza Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) All this complaining about being “thrown under the bus” is getting pretty tiresome. (Unless it happens to be a literal example, in which case it’s hilarious.) I also cringe when I hear, “having said that…” It adds nothing to the discussion. In most cases, I find that it’s sort of used as a preemptive rationalization for someone who is about to say something hypocritical or contradictory. Edited August 24, 2016 by Cugalabanza
Guffalo Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 "Everything happens for a reason" Like there is a reason someone got thrown under a bus? Or there was an actual reason that someone gets a terrible disease like cancer or MS.
Jauronimo Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 "it is what it is". No, s@#$. Please let me know when it is no longer what it, in fact, is. "Is it 5 O'clock yet?" No, shut up and do your job. "don't act like theres no shemales in your gazebo". I don't even understand this saying.

thebandit27 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Literally This almost always means "figuratively", which is the exact opposite of "literally". "That literally blows my mind." No, no it doesn't.
