OCinBuffalo Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) Chris Brown says: "His performance this week was less than impressive"...relative to how the other guys performed this week. So, "performance" is in the context of the whole RB room. Apparently the other guys outplayed him. EDIT: Or have shown enough to this point to make Karlos expendable. 26CornerBlitz Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 @MarkLud12 Not shocked that the Bills released Karlos Williams -- had to be a possibility after this offseason -- but am surprised by the timing.
Deranged Rhino Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 If you change your handle to Swatkins, I'll kill you. Noted. I'm going to have to change the name now though. Bummer.
Maury Ballstein Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 @MarkLud12 Not shocked that the Bills released Karlos Williams -- had to be a possibility after this offseason -- but am surprised by the timing. He chose bong hits, wings, and cheesecake over his job. Peace out los.

Don't you still normally wait until a normal cut down date?
Beef Jerky Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Yah, but Dareus can smoke 'god knows what' whenever he feels like it.... It's early to judge, but this thing stinks already. Dareus is a top player in the league. Do people not understand the better athlete you are the more you get away with? This is the way of LIFE.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 @RapSheet My understanding of Karlos Williams' cut: Was performance, not discipline. Thanks to his weight, he was behind McCoy, J. Williams, Bush, etc
Beef Jerky Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Don't you still normally wait until a normal cut down date? Not if you want to sign another player.
BillsFanForever19 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Anyone catch his press conference a few days back? I was really struck by his comment that he hadn't changed his eating habits, just stopped eating at night. And anyone who follows him (and/or his fiancee) on social media shouldn't be surprised. Very immature and both say a lot of dumb things.
RyanC883 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Yah, but Dareus can smoke 'god knows what' whenever he feels like it.... It's early to judge, but this thing stinks already. same as any other team. If your a star player, multiple infractions are not acceptable. If you have "potential" or at a position of depth, your expendable. Still, at least play him against the Giants.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 @RapSheet My understanding of Karlos Williams' cut: Was performance, not discipline. Thanks to his weight, he was behind McCoy, J. Williams, Bush, etc That still makes no sense. Boom Herron is also behind all those people and didn't get cut a few hours before a game.
Beef Jerky Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 This guy is a dime a dozen RB, he should have known he would be expendable.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 @Karlos_29_SR I will never forget my first carry in #TheRalph I wanna thank the #billsorganization for the… https://www.instagram.com/p/BJV0Oe6B0Om/

26CornerBlitz Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 @AdamSchefter At one point this off-season, now former Bills' RB Karlos Williams' weight went as high as 261 pounds. Bills had listed him at 229 pounds.
eball Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Something tells me this is a wake up call to the rest of the team to stop ******* around and take this season seriously. They can afford to let him go with so much depth at the RB position. @JoeBuscaglia #Bills officially released Karlos Williams. My full thoughts on the statement made, and what it means for the RBs: https://t.co/o89xjZJb3U Hear hear. I don't know how many times I've posted it but Karlos is a dumbass. Get him off the squad.
NoSaint Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 same as any other team. If your a star player, multiple infractions are not acceptable. If you have "potential" or at a position of depth, your expendable. Still, at least play him against the Giants. Maybe they didn't think he was ready to be out there and that's part of the timing? A bit of a "are you kidding, screw it- send him home"
FireChan Posted August 20, 2016 Author Posted August 20, 2016 Karlos doesn't seem to be caught off guard. Maybe this is a more mutual split than we're used to seeing.
