Doc Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 As I've been saying, the only RBs who are truly "a dime a dozen" are backup RBs.
Blokestradamus Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) Hahahahahahahaha. Bye. Edited August 20, 2016 by Blokestradamus
RyanC883 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 @john_wawrow Hearing #Bills decision to cut Karlos Williams is strictly based on performance. what performance. In a few preseason practices? Never even got to a preseason game. Totally moronic decision if that was the case.
Andrew Son Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 There's gotta be something else not to let him play right before a preseason game. Unless they just want to give the reps to Gillislee and J Williams Yeah, maybe other guys earned reps over a guy who won't be there till week 5
RyanC883 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Wow, very interesting. He gets picked up immediately then, right? I see the Ravens and Pats**** calling him. The Ravens could def use him.
ny33 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Good. The team needed a message that multiple infractions aren't acceptable. Gillislee is a solid player, and I know absolutely nothing about him other than his performance on the field and his history in the league. I'm very happy with him as a backup RB.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Unless there was more trouble I still don't like it. He is gone for first four games. We don't need a roster spot. If one of Shady, Bush, Gillislee or JWill gets hurt in any significant way over the next six weeks, which is a real possibility, we could use him.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Something tells me this is a wake up call to the rest of the team to stop ******* around and take this season seriously. They can afford to let him go with so much depth at the RB position. I too think this is part of it.
White Linen Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I am loving everything this organization is doing since new ownership.
Saxum Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Are Bills still subject to extra penalty due to number of players suspended now they have cut him?
What a Tuel Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) https://twitter.com/viccarucci/status/767064355779309568 #Bills' release of Karlos Williams is curious given Rex Ryan's insistence he would not give up on him. Another voice overrule the coach? I like Carucci, but do you really gotta start the conspiracy/controversy with zero information? Edited August 20, 2016 by What a Tuel
Big Turk Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Wow...unless there is something else we don't know about, I'd say this is an overreaction...or the team trying to make an example out of someone...
NoSaint Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 what performance. In a few preseason practices? Never even got to a preseason game. Totally moronic decision if that was the case. Performance has to be more than that. Inability to get on the field is a performance issue. And they must think it'll be continued. Otherwise, I'd agree the performance assertion is off
26CornerBlitz Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 what performance. In a few preseason practices? Never even got to a preseason game. Totally moronic decision if that was the case. Performance of the RBs who have played. #NewEra
Saxum Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Just speculation and front office of course controls roster - Rex has not gone rogue.
#34fan Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Injury prone and suspended. Goodbye Karlos... Who's more injury-prone than Marquise Goodwin?
NoSaint Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Unless there was more trouble I still don't like it. He is gone for first four games. We don't need a roster spot. If one of Shady, Bush, Gillislee or JWill gets hurt in any significant way over the next six weeks, which is a real possibility, we could use him. Generally agree. Can cut him week 4 if we wanted. Have to think he's better than any league minimum guy at that point (again, unless they know much more)
NorthBuffaloKid Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 It's not like Rex to do this. He usually sticks with a player too long. Belicheck would have cut him before this. The line opens the holes for the backs. Let's hope they continue to shine.
Chilly Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 @john_wawrow Hearing #Bills decision to cut Karlos Williams is strictly based on performance. I don't believe this for a second, the timing makes zero sense. Why not do it on cutdown day? Either something else happened, or the Bills are such a mess they decided to make an example of someone, and Karlos was the easy choice.
#34fan Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Good. The team needed a message that multiple infractions aren't acceptable. Yah, but Dareus can smoke 'god knows what' whenever he feels like it.... It's early to judge, but this thing stinks already.
