YoloinOhio Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) Looks unbelievable so far. "Just preseason" or is he the real deal? Dak Prescott's preseason: 6 TDs, 5 incompletions. passer rating in 1st two preseason games: 154.5 & 158.3 (perfect) w/ 4 TD passes & 2 TD runs. Edited August 20, 2016 by YoloinOhio
FireChan Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Just preseason so far, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Cowboys play .600+ ball if Romo goes down for a few games.
8-8 Forever? Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Well, we shall see. On the downside, just more reasons for the media to show every freakin cowboys game in primetime again...
Coach Tuesday Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I liked him better than any other QB in the draft... was hoping the Bills would take him.
YoloinOhio Posted August 20, 2016 Author Posted August 20, 2016 The Bills seemed to like him but would have had to take him in the 3rd. I think his stock fell after he got the DUI so close to the draft.
Blokestradamus Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Dak was a guy with his best football in front of him as a prospect. Consistent and sustained development in college. It's probably helping him with fairly vanilla defensive gameplans though. If one person thinks they should bench Romo for him, they're mad.

As someone who follows the Eagles as his secondary team, I was surprised to hear such good things about Dak. Obviously, let's remember how EJ looked/looks vs backups in preseason but they have a situation where they can wait to develop him. That division isn't looking like a runaway train right now.
judman Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 A QB controversy in Dallas is the sports media's wet dream. There and/or New England... maybe they will get a two-fer this year? That Prescott kid certainly looks good thus far.
LeGOATski Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I'm a believer. I wanted the Bills to draft him. It's great that he can learn behind Romo for a year or two.
FireChan Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Yeah. As someone who follows the Eagles as his secondary team, I was surprised to hear such good things about Dak. Obviously, let's remember how EJ looked/looks vs backups in preseason but they have a situation where they can wait to develop him. That division isn't looking like a runaway train right now. EJ didn't look nearly as good.
eball Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 You certainly can't question what Dak has done so far. It's just really difficult to gauge preseason performance. For a rookie QB I'm looking at "comfort level" -- for example, I was really impressed with how comfortable Cardale looked last week. Sort of the "is the game too big for them?" test. Dak has passed that with flying colors.
dulles Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I liked him better than any other QB in the draft... was hoping the Bills would take him.As soon as I saw the subject of this thread, I thought "oh no... Prescott will be Russell Wilson 2.0."So, let's get started. What bust did we pick instead of Prescott? How many rounds did we waste passing over him? What front office heads should roll?
ALF Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) 6'2" , 10 7/8'' hands , I don't see another Wilson http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/dak-prescott?id=2555260 http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/russell-wilson?id=2532975 Edited August 20, 2016 by ALF

All heads, obviously, especially Rex.

Yeah, the DUI dropped him way down. He arguably could have been the 4th QB taken. Edited August 20, 2016 by Doc

atlbillsfan1975 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Bip! That was 2015. Not EJ's rookie year. Side note- Dak looked great his first year w A&M. Then things fell apart. For him if I recall correctly. Not sure what or why. We have any A&M fans?
