GunnerBill Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 To me, admittedly looking in from afar, this deal looks like a sure fire sign that the Pegulas want to embed the organisation squarely in the Buffalo business community. These are smart owners and they are committed to the region. If they can get the crucial bit right (winning on the field and the ice) the whole thing looks ready to take off.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 The smartest thing Buffalo Bills Ownership has done in the past 2 decades. (besides keeping the team here)
ricojes Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Like it or not New Era Field is the new name. But if a new stadium is coming in less then 10 years why did they waste the money now? You're not going to use the same name twice. The only answer i can come up with is that in 10 years New Era wont be able to afford a long term name for the open air, grass field stadium that'll be built downtown near the waterfront. I think that's why they named it Field and not Stadium. A field can be moved, a stadium, not so much...
