Mr. WEO Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 that characterization depends pretty widely on the nature of the questions involved. our bosses may not like us refusing to answer questions, but what consequence is levied (in this case suspension without pay) would not be a "gimme" of a result which is exactly what anyone with that authority banks on in being able to push the issue. public opinion always falls to "well if you didnt do anything...." and rarely to "i wonder what they are trying to get out of this negotiation" Even if there was no public knowledge of this, the players would still have zero leverage.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 @JFowlerESPN From ESPN's Chris Mortensen, players linked to Al-Jazeera report will interview with NFL. James Harrison will... http://es.pn/2b4Mllj @AlbertBreer James Harrison, Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews will meet with the NFL, as @mortreport said.
3rdand12 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Are the players lawyers allowed to be present? this is important i think
26CornerBlitz Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Are the players lawyers allowed to be present? this is important i think Either personal or NFLPA, one way or the other they'll be represented.
3rdand12 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Either personal or NFLPA, one way or the other they'll be represented. As long as they are coached. I would be upset if this was onesided and manipulative of the NFL after releasing Manning from the "investigation"
26CornerBlitz Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 @ProFootballTalk Decision of Mike Neal to not be interviewed means he will likely be the test case for Article 46 vs. PED policy legal battle.
Saxum Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Even if there was no public knowledge of this, the players would still have zero leverage. Unless they were P*ts player such as T*m Br*dy as you have bent over backward to support many times. @ProFootballTalk Decision of Mike Neal to not be interviewed means he will likely be the test case for Article 46 vs. PED policy legal battle. Since he is not employed yet NFL may not push it until team offers him a contract.

He is writing without thinking about the consequences for the players. Sure they can poke the bear but for what? Within a couple of weeks of their interviews if not sooner all of these players will be cleared. I struggle to see the "precedent" issue that he is using to frame his argument. If anyone of us had a workplace accusation of impropriety we would have to meet with someone to discuss it. It may even be as simple as did you do this? No? Okay. Albert Breer and others are making this a much bigger deal than I think the NFL intends it to be.
Mr. WEO Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 @ProFootballTalk Decision of Mike Neal to not be interviewed means he will likely be the test case for Article 46 vs. PED policy legal battle. He's the one the NFL said was lying in his affidavit. No surprise he's not showing up. Unless they were P*ts player such as T*m Br*dy as you have bent over backward to support many times. How did Brady's sit down with the NFL go for him Nimrod? Did you just wake up from a meth-induced coma?
26CornerBlitz Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 @espn James Harrison says he's happy to speak to Roger Goodell. In fact, he wouldn't mind it being live on TV. https://t.co/lv8ip2ulZd

ALF Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Why wasn't he as "happy" before this week to speak to Goodell? The NFLPA ordered them not to talk because it would set a precedent
Mr. WEO Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 The NFLPA ordered them not to talk because it would set a precedent So why is he talking now?
Saxum Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 The NFLPA ordered them not to talk because it would set a precedent Ordered? They NFLPA is supposed to be working for players not the other way. around; this the tail wagging the dog.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 @DanGrazianoESPN According to a source, free-agent RB Mike Neal will consent to be interviewed by the NFL in al-Jazeera matter after all. Changed his mind.
NoSaint Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Ordered? They NFLPA is supposed to be working for players not the other way. around; this the tail wagging the dog. im guessing ALF is not an official representative of the NFLPA, and it my have been merely a suggestion instead of order. you know, since they couldnt actually order them.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 @AlbertBreer Per source, NFL has agreed to meet with Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers on Wed in Green Bay, and James Harrison on the 30th in Pittsburgh.
Luxy312 Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Al Jizz is a rag. Anyone that listens to those clowns might as well believe that CNN and Fox are "independent journalists". LOL.
