Freddie's Dead Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Dizzy Gillespie played a couple of nice tunes too. I like it. Dizzy it is. Nobody can spell Gillislee anyway.
eball Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 IK looked good until the injury. ??? Two offsides and not much else. He did alter a throw early, but this guy being "off the table" now is not a bad thing for the Bills.
BuffaninATL Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Just gonna say it and get it out of the way. Jordan Gay was superb last night. The depth, the hangtime, so pretty. we might need Schmitt's Gay beer back this year
eball Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 CHARGE Gragg Annen Powell Cardale Jonathan Williams Kouandjio Seymour Adolphus Duke CHIPS Hankerson Wilder Chris Martin Boom Sterling Moore Steve Tasker* * Great Buffalo Bill in his day, but a horrid football announcer. Excellent list. I just posted my thoughts in the game thread and my positives almost match this to the letter. Glad I wasn't the only one seeing it that way.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Impressed by: Cardale Adolphus Seymore Powell Duke J Williams Kujo Disappointed by: Spikes Striker Albright Hankerson Groy
Freddie's Dead Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 we might need Schmitt's Gay beer back this year Awesome reference, forgot all about that SNL sketch!
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 I was focusing on the OL quite a bit. Cyrus played well, looks a lot more sound technically than he did last year. Ryan Groy looked solid at LG. Biggest OL standout for me was 4th string LT Marquis Lucas. He needs bumping up the depth chart, he's got practice squad written all over him but he acquitted himself well. Guys that were poor? Fernando Velasco looked awfully soft and slow, no way he makes the 53. Groy will be the swing IOL. Chris Martin is absolute garbage and needs cutting this morning. Outside of OL, Walter Powell did enough that I'll mark him into a WR/KR spot on the roster. Duke Williams did well. I love what Bryson Albright can grow into but he's not roster-ready yet. His hand technique is there, just needs to add some power to the mix. I'd have to watch back but initial thought was that Max Valles had a nice game on the edge. I feel a bit better about depth in a few spots now I've watched them play a little. Really? I thought his pass pro was awful. He missed a blitz that resulted in an EJ sack. One of a few mistakes I thought he made.
Kirby Jackson Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 To me Cardale and Powell stood out the most on Offense. On Defense it was Seymour and Duke. No reason to keep Glass Goodwin over Powell. Although I root for Goodwin we have already seen what he has to offer in the regular season, which is watching the games in street clothes after the 2nd hit he takes. But no doubt these coaches will be fooled. Goodwin is a lock at this point. He's running with the 1's and has been throughout camp.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Goodwin is a lock at this point. He's running with the 1's and has been throughout camp. Sammy, Bob and Glass are locks. Next in are Dez and Powell IMO. Salas hurt himself by being unavailable.
Dopey Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Goodwin didn't help. Two plays , no separation. His only advantage is speed and it was not on displayPretty sure he hurt himself again. Don't know if it's serious. Jumping into the stands, I read, to avoid running into the wall in the end zone?! Anyone know for sure.
jaybee Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Think it's safe to say McCoy, Karlos, Bush and Gillislee are the top four. Agree, but I'm not sure Reggie belongs on that list. I "think" he's more of a 3rd down specialist than a 2 or 3 down back. Of course I could be wrong on this too.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 @ChrisBrownBills Chris Gragg makes impact with blocked punt, TD reception #Bills https://t.co/ZbepYckMNM
Green Lightning Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Adolphus looked awesome. He's got that Dareus-type lower body and the rook can shed blockers. Watched him every play, he's the real deal. Agree on his ability to penetrate, but he seems easy to move in a straight ahead drive block.
Andrew Son Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 Surprised no mention of Worthy, I thought he was solid. With him and Adolphus in the mix our Dline should be great again. I thought Duke was the best player in the game, he was everywhere. Blanton was solid as well- we're deep throughout the secondary. Also, expect much better LB play this year. Looks like the unit as a whole has a better grasp of everything. We have a talented and deep team folks. Thanks Whaley
Blokestradamus Posted August 14, 2016 Posted August 14, 2016 After re-watching the defense, Max Valles played a great game. Did a great job as an edge setter. Really starting to round out his game. Was raw as hell at Virginia a couple years ago.
Big C Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 Agree on his ability to penetrate, but he seems easy to move in a straight ahead drive block. If that is the case, I'm sure Kyle can teach him a few things.

They called it on IK, but Worthy moved first and brought IK with him.
Big C Posted August 14, 2016 Author Posted August 14, 2016 Agree, but I'm not sure Reggie belongs on that list. I "think" he's more of a 3rd down specialist than a 2 or 3 down back. Of course I could be wrong on this too. They definitely plan to use Bush in that role, but they would use him more if (knock on wood) we suffer some injuries to the RB corps. He's good to have because he can be used in a specialist type role for the most part but be able to step up if there is a need. It helps save a spot on the 53. But if JWill looks solid he could stay on the roster all year too.
