Blokestradamus Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Chuck Zodda of Inside The Pylon took a look at Dan Carpenter and his issues with XP attempts last year. http://insidethepylon.com/nfl/teams-nfl/afc-east/buffalo-bills/2016/08/10/why-does-dan-carpenter-keep-missing-extra-points/
NoSaint Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 In the image on the left, Carpenters body lean post-kick is 15.3 degrees, showing that despite the torque he generates, he is able to keep himself balanced. Yet in the right image, his body lean is 23 degrees, with his left arm crossed further over his body as he continues to compensate for his off-balance approach caused by an improper plant. Essentially, bad mechanics are the focus- more details in the link
GunnerBill Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Interesting. I wonder if this was a league wide issue because a lot of kickers missed a lot of XPs.
Doc Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 What is the difference between an extra point and a 32 yard field goal try?
K-9 Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Carpenter's biggest XP issue was that Microsoft stopped supporting it a while ago and he never upgraded to a new OS. GO BILLS!!!
CountryCletus Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 2 points. Well played... and about 11 yards...
