26CornerBlitz Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 @MikeReiss Potential concern for Patriots as WR Julian Edelman took himself out of drill, slamming helmet to ground, and is now on back of cart.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 They'll marinate him in HGH and he will play opening day.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 @CourtneyFallon_ Fresh off the PUP list Sunday, WR Julian Edelman took himself out of a drill, slammed his helmet down, and left the field on a cart.
CommonCents Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 This could be a Patriot mistake, all summer long they have been hinting that Edelman may miss a game or two. Then yesterday he is running drills full tilt anddddd today he is on the back of a cart. Hopefully we are playing it safe with Sammy, no need for him to be doing much besides conditioning for now.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 9, 2016 Author Posted August 9, 2016 @tomecurran Julian Edelman has gone off to the side with disgust, threw helmet. Trainer Jim Whalen looking at lower left leg as Edelman sits on cart.
thebandit27 Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 There are very few players in the league whose injury would cause me to smile...this guy's one of them. Now I'll go ahead and say that I hope it's nothing that will affect his life outside of football long-term.

BillnutinHouston Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Patriots' training staff all need to be fired?
Nanker Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 I blame Whaley. Why didn't he anticipate this happening and adjust his Draft and FA pickups to account for this?
stevewin Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 They'll marinate him in HGH and he will play opening day. Ha - as soon as I read the title, HGH-aided recovery is the first thing that popped into my head

If he's walking off the field and slamming his helmet down, it sounds as though the essential parts all work.
Dr.Sack Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 He will be wearing offensive linemen cleats with the titanium padding for his foot. Relying almost entirely on his shiftiness Edelman can ill afford lingering affects of the broken foot that plagued him last year. Foot injuries are no joke. If this becomes chronic he's done.

If he did indeed break it again he would be staring at his 3rd procedure in less than a year.
PromoTheRobot Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 Ha - as soon as I read the title, HGH-aided recovery is the first thing that popped into my headHow else does Gronk tear his knee up and play 6 weeks later?

eball Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 In the interest of not angering the football gods, may we please exercise a bit of restraint in this thread?
