I never got the Tebow hate. I loved the dude in college and he just wasn't good enough to be a NFL qb. But he's a hard worker who seems like a good dude. Personally, I think religion should be a personal thing but whatever. Tebow is the problem with this country.

 

And I love people who tell other people they shouldn't do something. Why shouldn't Tebow pursue baseball!? Worse comes worst he doesn't make it. At least he's trying and not criticizing someone else's life behind a computer screen.

For every team that takes time looking at Tim Tebow, who hasn't played baseball in over a decade (high school) - some young kid who has been working his ass off to be a professional baseball player is getting robbed of getting looked at.

 

It's not like this is his lifelong dream. He's desperate and he's taking full advantage of his celebrity to "get a shot," at .... shockingly ... someone else's expense.

Well, he seems like a good person, although an utter distraction in the NFL, and was not capable enough to play in the league. It's hard to believe he can effectively compete with these other young prospects coming up through college, and the minors.

 

I don't know why he doesn't accept his role as a decent college football analyst on ESPN, and make a nice career for himself. He's so popular by a certain segment of the population, you know he has job security.

 

competitors want to compete, Makes me wonder how he would have turned out if Peyton didn't show up, for all his warts the guy was a gamer. I think the worst thing he did was change his throwing motion as went from a strong arm with decent accuracy to a hesitant thrower with horrible accuracy.

 

But if he truly wants to compete he should humble himself and play in Canada or switch positions like TE, to which I think he would be a beast at with his hard-nosed running style.

 

hope he makes it in baseball but not counting on it.

Teams hold open tryouts, he is taking no ones spot. If he is better then he deserves to be there if not then it will be that poor kid who has been slaving away for all these yrs :rolleyes:

Tim Tebow held his showcase Tuesday for media and scouts. It went about as well as can be expected for a football player who hasn't played a game of organized baseball in years.

 

So he has zero chance to pull this off?

I don't want to say there's zero chance, but that would be a long shot worthy of a movie.

The Tebow hate was more from what others pumped him up to be than anything he did.

If someone else is good enough, they will get their shot. Tim Tebow will not be the reason someone else doesn't make it the show.

Tim Tebow is to baseball what Kim Kardashian is...to baseball.

Exactly! Watched his workout for the scouts ( or what they broadcast of it) and honestly know some kids in summer leagues

play at a higher level than that tired ex college football star. He,Hasn't played baseball since high school, pushing 30, and thinks he has major

League potential? Based on what his college football career or his game winning td in the nfl playoffs?

 

I'm surprised teams actually wasted the time on this guy. How much longer before this guy fades away?

He has every right to tryout of teams want to look at him, but probably has zero chance of making a team. He was a good college QB, but like many wasn't good enough even as a back up in the NFL. I don't hate the guy. I respect his convictions.

 

What doesn't make sense to me is he has his religious endeavors doing mission work, is a successful college football analyst on ESPN, and can probably have a great career. This is the next chapter in his life. Move on.
