Thailog80 Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Heart attack? The last time I saw him he was enormous.
Astrobot Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Who can forget Roby's distinctive punting style? His kicking leg would be straight and above his head during his follow-through. RIP Reggie
justnzane Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 damn. That is so messed up, I am 20 and can't even think of calling myself middle aged R.I.P. Reggie Roby and my best wishes to his family and friends
mary owen Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Who can forget Roby's distinctive punting style? His kicking leg would be straight and above his head during his follow-through. RIP Reggie i think one of his punts is still orbiting the earth
Phlegm Alley Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I shall honor one of the greatest punters by naming my first born Reggie. RIPRR
Rubes Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Who can forget Roby's distinctive punting style? His kicking leg would be straight and above his head during his follow-through. RIP Reggie 248497 I always thought the most remarkable thing about his punting style is that he never jumped off the ground when he punted. He had so much power in his kicking leg that his other leg just stayed there on the ground. Amazing.
Bflojohn Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 The oddity about Roby was he always wore his watch out on the field while punting. I guess he wanted to track his own hang time! I'm in total agreement with everyone, God Bless Reggie Roby and please bring peace, in time, to his loved ones!
Moose Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Wow, very sad. I remember ol' #4 seemed like a giant among punters and could boot the crap out of the ball! This is a bad year for Reggies. Hey, Reggie Jackson, take good care of yourself!
scribo Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I'm going to wear two watches tomorrow in his honor.
stuckincincy Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 He was a member of the All-1980's Team: http://www.nfl.com/history/legends/1980s RIP.
Ruffalo1 Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Reggie Roby had a store here in Blackwood NJ called Reggie’s Cookies. The cookies were good. He was at the store all the time. He would talk to you all day long about football. It's a shame.
TheMadCap Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 i think one of his punts is still orbiting the earth 248505 Probably that 80 yarder he kicked at Rich Stadium that one time! Very sad...
runner Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I saw him kick quite a bit in college at Iowa. Kinnick Stadium would just go nuts when he would send his kickoffs through the uprights....It happened A LOT. Always seemed like a classy guy, and it sounds like he really gave a lot back to the community. (He worked with teens in the tough parts of Nashville). Sad story today...
