Buffaloed in Pa
It really depends on the severity..... If it is a minor tear he can stay out a while...then brace it and then have surgery in the offseason But...its a decision the bills gotta make....I am wondering if the REASON we have brought in two veteran linebackers is to give them the luxury of shutting him down and having him ready for next year 100 percent. That`s right. It will need surgery. Jinxed. I would not want drafted by this team. Bad things.

BarleyNY
How long is short term IR again? There is no short term IR in NFL. He's not eligible for the PUP list since he's taken part in a practice already. He'd have to be carried on the roster or put on IR. All NFL teams may bring one (and only one) player back from IR. They used to have to designate that player at the time they placed him on IR, but now they can do it at the time they bring the player back. YoloinOhio
@christrapasso From past research: Partially torn ligament is same as a sprain. We see "torn" as "done for yr" "Sprained" usually "out for few wks/months"
4merper4mer
Thanks Leroi! More ammo for Baghdad Russ and Whaley to add to their excuses to Pegs this January. Russ and Whaley? How about the crap coach that hamstrung them into needing to draft not one but two wounded specialists? Rex's horrible defense has killed another year before the first preseason game. At least last year it lasted until week 2.
Uffalo Ills
Are we hiring Taco Bell employees as strength and conditioning coaches? Holy balls we need new training staff. Russ and Whaley? Ronin
He was expected to start in the 3-4. that is why it is important . Bills were short LBs before the announcement of Rex running Rex's d. Bills tried to address that. And on paper they did a formidable job. till the injuries. two unexpected if not 3. I suspect you are addicted to drugs as you seem to have otherwordly knowledge of them. This is funny, you lay out your response as if to come across as seeming intelligent, but your response above doesn't address a single point that I made. I didn't mention 3-4, but it's implicit, either way, DUH! My argument had nothing to do with that. It had to do with Ragland, about whom all the people have been insisting that it's a reset with skeptics having overreacted once again having proven a glaring lack of ability to consider factual info presented. Don't worry tho, I wouldn't have anticipated that you would have been among those weighing the facts more than completely unsubstantiated opinions, which was really the crux of my post that you replied to. So no worries for you there. The facts on Ragland have played out exactly as common sense suggested. Again, contrary to a wealth of nonsense otherwise here. We see "torn" as "done for yr" "Sprained" usually "out for few wks/months" http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=a00297 Unfortunately it looks like surgery will be needed. I was reading up on ACL injuries and non-surgical treatment is only for partial ACL tears with no instability. He has instability.
Ronin
I also couldn't help but notice my downplaying and completely leap-frogging the significance of his injury due to the fact that he's not a traditional 3-down LB in the NFL because his pass coverage skills are highly questionable. People were telling me to shut up when I was calling Marrone Greggo. But guess what? You can ignore the truth but it is still there.

pi2000
What in God's name does Rex Ryan have his LB's doing during a practice? Running barefoot over spilled legos while linemen dive at their knees?

Can't wait to see how long our third pick lasts3rd picks coach was on the draft broadcast and didn't exactly praise Washington when picked. That can't be good. But Rex's crap D needed him I guess. 4th pick is a known project and 5th pick has already visited jail. Who did we get in the 6th again?
