USMCBillsFan Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Didn't Rulon Gardner win gold in 2000? Yes, she is the first woman to win gold. My bad, I wasn't clear.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 @ABC JUST IN: Ryan Lochte: "I want to apologize for my behavior last weekend."
Cugalabanza Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 @ABC JUST IN: Ryan Lochte: "I want to apologize for my behavior last weekend." A bunch of very professional-sounding bull ****
26CornerBlitz Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 A bunch of very professional-sounding bull **** Pretty much. Likely written for him by the USOC.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 @Nightline U.S. swimmer Jimmy Feigen to pay $11,000 to Brazilian charity to avoid prosecution in Rio. http://abcn.ws/2b6n0HC
C.Biscuit97 Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 A bunch of very professional-sounding bull **** I thought the grammar was awful. Tons of run on sentences. It may be have written by that dumb dude. And the Olympics have been great. 110 women's hurdles had sneaky good talent.
Cugalabanza Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 I thought the grammar was awful. Tons of run on sentences. It may be have written by that dumb dude. Yes. I don't think someone wrote it for him. I just think he tried to get over by making it sound professional and contrite, without actually copping to anything at all.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 (edited) @Nightline U.S. swimmer Jimmy Feigen to pay $11,000 to Brazilian charity to avoid prosecution in Rio. http://abcn.ws/2b6n0HC Obviously the swimmers actions were ridiculous, and they should be held accountable. With that being said, some of this shows the true colors of how Brazil operates imo. I know the word "charity" sounds wonderful, but essentially it's bribe to be freed and allowed out of the country. It's not like Rio is remotely bringing any justice to punish their actual actions. I didn't see any court case occurring, or a judgement for financial damages owed to the gas station owner. This whole thing has been ridiculous from the start. Edited August 19, 2016 by DriveFor1Outta5

C.Biscuit97 Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 You must be a English teacher then! Haha, I'm a terrible writer. But it does seem like a PR statement but I can't believe how poorly it was written. So maybe a brain dead dude like RL did write it.

Pine Barrens Mafia Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Extortion is apparently a good thing when it involves charity. We are talking about a third world country here.
Deranged Rhino Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Either way I think these guys are screwed. Brazilian prisons are no joke There was a movie called Midnight Express about them and it was brutal. Charles Grodin was great in that!
snafu Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Extortion is apparently a good thing when it involves charity. Are you spending too much time in PPP?
zow2 Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 meanwhile, to pull away from Lochte and his idiocy for a minute, Jenn Suhr is not getting any healthier. She woke up coughing up blood according to her husband/coach. They still want to try and compete tonight in the pole vault. From personal experience she needs to be careful with this. A family member of mine contracted an infection in South America last year. Came back home so sick he was hospitalized for 10 days..his kidneys and Liver were close to shutting down. If she is that sick for 8 days, they should get her home and closely looked at. https://twitter.com/TBNSports/status/766692910247055364?lang=en

Chef Jim Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Are you spending too much time in PPP? It doesn't take a PPP junkie to call it what it is. Reason #1834 I think the Olympics have been a load of political crap for a long time.
KD in CA Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Crappy result for this Olympian: http://nypost.com/2016/08/19/olympic-speed-walker-collapses-in-sad-puddle-of-his-own-poop/
