Good? No, no he's not particularly good. Bad? No, not really bad. Middling? Yes. Is he the best option at QB the Jest presently have or have had in a long time? Yes, and it's really not even close. Is he the guy they should want going forward after this season? No, they should be looking for a better QB.

No, he is just bad.

"When you’ve gone through 10 years bouncing around, not really having a lot of success, never made the playoffs, it’s hard for people to understand your worth and your value."

Actually, it's not -- it's right there in front of your face. LOL Brandon.

He's as good as Eli with his 2 rings.

Dead wrong.

Ones 43-61 with no playoff wins

Ones 105-89 with 8 playoff wins and 2 titles.

Your comp machine needs calibration. Don't do Eli that dirty.

Your stat machine needs calibration because (W-L) isn't a QB stat; it's a team stat.

Hey they won 10 games and were close to a playoff berth. That doesnt happen without Fitz. He's as good as Eli with his 2 rings.

Is this the part where everyone rushes back in to tell us how a one-year $12M deal was "exactly what he wanted". Certainly Fitz had no use for that 4 year, $84M extension Eli got. After all, Fitz went to Harvard!!!

Fitz is in the bottom 25-35% of starting QBs in the league. I don't think you'll find anyone who can question that with acceptable logic. I suppose that's "middling, with a chance of sporadic awful" in today's league.

Says the guy that wants Stevie on the Wall... Just blame god I guess.

Receiving yards are not team stats. He's the second best receiver the Bills have ever had.

What? 8th in receptions, 9th in yards (12th in yards/game), 7th in TDs. Those are Stevie's individual stats as a Bill.

Yet even my diehard Jets fan friend solemnly pointed this out when discussing Fitz - Boy, did the Jets luck out with the weather this year for Fitzpatrick to look that good.

And he was right.

Why? You think he wanted $18M a year like such luminaries as Brock Osweiler and Sam Bradford got?

He are some not team stats for you:

We can all agree that Fitz had the best year of his career last year right? 6 times Eli has thrown for more yards than Fitz did last year.

Fitz has thrown for more than 3k yards 4 times. Eli has thrown for more than 4k 5 times.

Eli has thrown more than 3k in every year he has been the starter for the entire year (11 times).

Eli averages 7.1 ypa in his career while Fitz averages 6.6.

Eli sports a 2.97:1 td:int ratio while Fitz sports a 1:57:1.

Are those enough individual stats for you?

Those are excellent stats. But I'm not the one who said Fitz was as good as Eli.

Don't need for everyone to tell you that---Fitz told you himself over 2 months ago that's exactly what he wanted.

So now the Jets fans have decided Fitz's success hinged on global warming?

oops my apologies. Don't worry after this year you will see how wrong your post on the first page was :nana:

Of course not. Why would a 'franchise record setting' QB with all the leverage ask for as much as any other veteran QB in the league besides TT (for the moment) or whoever is playing for Cleveland this week?
