Pine Barrens Mafia Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Any good eateries for lunch near 3rd ave. between 45th and 46th street? I'm in NYC on business for a couple of days this week, so I'll need a good lunch.
BillsNYC Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Blooms on lexington and 40th has AWESOME sandwiches.... If you want the bes Maragarita in the city, head over to Rio Grande on 39th and 3rd. And pay your respects to NYCBBB's home, McFadden's, on 42nd and 2nd.
billsfanone Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 There's an Irish Pub over there with good food. Forget the name. Muldoon's or something like that.

jahnyc Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 If you have the time (and the money), consider Smith & Wollensky's on 49th and Third Avenue. Good steak and sides. Expensive. They also have a "grill" next door which is less formal.
Bill from NYC Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Joe, go to Capucines!!! It is on the S/W corner of E19th St. & 2nd Ave. I make sure to go there a few times per year. The food is so good, I could start crying. Try the Red Snappers Mare Chiata. Either way, everything they sell is great, and the prices are not SO bad. Capucines is one of the best features of NYC, but if you didn't know about it, it would be just another non-descript restaurant that you would walk right past. It is amazing.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted February 23, 2005 Author Posted February 23, 2005 The Oyster Bar at Grand Central Terminal.Pricey, but worth it. 249010[/snapback] I walked right past there on my way here from the PA Terminal. maybe I'll check that out. Thanks
