YoloinOhio Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) @mikegarafoloRams expecting to release QB Nick Foles, sources say. Trade never materialized. Release will make him a free agent. Not subject to waivers. Edited August 4, 2016 by Beerball
thebandit27 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 He's a better backup than what we have right now--I'd sign him.
prissythecat Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Git er done? Quite a few people here were lusting after Foles about a season or so back as I recall.
YoloinOhio Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 I'll bet the Jets try to sign himthere were rumblings around draft time that they were trying to trade for him
GunnerBill Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I don't think he is good but he would upgrade the Jets compared to Geno and us compared to EJ as a backup
Luxy312 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 I'll bet the Jets try to sign him If the Jets sign him, they're done with good old (average) Fitzy.
Mr. WEO Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Git er done? Quite a few people here were lusting after Foles about a season or so back as I recall. Shall we call them the Foles Crowd? And where are they now, dammit?
YoloinOhio Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) He was kind of horrid last year, right? Still better than EJ? Didn't watch much Rams football in 2015, shockingly Edited July 27, 2016 by YoloinOhio
26CornerBlitz Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 He's a better backup than what we have right now--I'd sign him. Where's the room for him on the roster with EJ's money guaranteed for 2016?
simpleman Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Seems like signing with the Jets would be the best option for him. The question will be if they are willing to give him a multi year with incentives that fits their cap and gives him guaranteed money over a couple of years. If he is not a long term starter, he is at least an excellent future backup when the Jets get their true Franchise QB.
thebandit27 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Where's the room for him on the roster with EJ's money guaranteed for 2016? Not really an issue anymore now that Glenn signed--they have cap room to sign him to a deal as long as it's of the one-year variety.
hondo in seattle Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Foles has had a funny career. A 27-2 TD-INT ratio, 9.1 ypa, and Pro Bowl nod in 2013. That season he looked like the next great QB. But he was ineffective and twice benched in favor of the mighty Case Keenum in 2015.
John from Riverside Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Just goes to show you just how much of a unicorn a good consistant QB is This guy was lighting the NFL on fire a couple of years ago
Beef Jerky Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Where's the room for him on the roster with EJ's money guaranteed for 2016? That little amount? Plenty of room.
hondo in seattle Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Get him... Wayyyyy better than EJ Just to play devil's advocate, Foles had a 69.0 QB rating last year. EJ had a 78.5 rating. Foles did not look sharp in the 11 games he played last year for the Rams.
Luxy312 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Just goes to show you just how much of a unicorn a good consistant QB is This guy was lighting the NFL on fire a couple of years ago Kind of reminds me of Rob Johnson in looking all world playing against us and then when he got on the team turned into a turd.
John from Riverside Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) Kind of reminds me of Rob Johnson in looking all world playing against us and then when he got on the team turned into a turd. Rob Johnson was actually not that bad of a QB Its just that he would sneeze and fracture a rib Edited July 27, 2016 by John from Hemet
