Cover 1
Roman had to adjust his traditional gap and man scheme to fit Shady's creative style of running. He implemented the Pin and pull blocking concept. Some refer to it as the pin and pull sweep. The Bills flourished when they ran that play. Learn a little more about it and I also added a little hype to preview what is next at Cover 1... Enjoy!!!! http://www.cover1.net/2016/07/cover-1-film-room-buffalo-bills-run-game-pt-3/\ If you have trouble playing the video due to NFL restrictions, open in YouTube.. https://youtu.be/Xyry-cqeotw Edited July 26, 2016 by TurnerE
Wooderson
Awesome video. Good analysis. What a scheme. With all these big, athletic linemen in these 3-4 defenses, this is a great way to expose them to the outside. If the LBs gets up field too early, they're already out of the play. Seasons1992
I don't know, I think their most successful play was when Beebe stepped out of bounds and caught the TD.....
hondo in seattle
Thanks, as always, Erik. I often complained during Fred's best years that he had to get yards on his own. Some of our current backs nowadays have huge holes to run through, thanks to Roman's play design and the execution of the line.

boyst
I don't know, I think their most successful play was when Beebe stepped out of bounds and caught the TD.....when matt Cassel started at qb and Taylor was at wr. That moment I turned to whoever was next to me...GG maybe? And said that will be the exact play of how this season will go. You watch. I was right. We tried so hard to be cute. That said, I'm starting to think that honest and insightful football analysis has its place here. Keep it up, TurnerE.
BarleyNY
I really do appreciate the time and effort, TurnerE. Thanks. It's nice to get a good picture of how things are supposed to work.
K D
I thought their best play was Tyrod out wide, Cassel under center, Shady on the sweep
Maddog69
The most successful play, the one that works every single time they have run it is the Kneel down.

#34fan
I'd prefer this play be a designed QB run. -Based on misdirection, of course... Tyrod fakes the handoff to mcCoy and runs untouched to the Pylon. -Put up 6, scoreboard operator..
Beef Jerky
The most successful play, the one that works every single time they have run it is the Kneel down. Remember when Fitz messed up the kneel down during our only Patriots win.
Fadingpain
Most successful Bills play ever: The fake run over the top on the goal line followed by the pass to Butch Rolle who would sneak off the line of scrimmage and end up, always, wide open in the end zone. That play worked for 6 so many times it's ridiculous. Edited July 27, 2016 by Fadingpain
