Ohiostyle Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Always felt like Denny was one of the guys around the league that I could really enjoy his company. Although I'm a sports fanatic, I don't like most jocks, or their culture. Denny seemed like an exception to that. RIP Denny.
major Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Seemed like a caring man. He should have won the 1998 super bowl with Vikings- one of the best teams I've ever seen
SF Bills Fan Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I liked Green- he seemed like a good guy. 67 is too young.
purple haze Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 RIP. A very good football coach and entertaining personality gone way too soon.
#34fan Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 You're officially "off the hook", coach.... Rest in peace, after a job WELL DONE.
BuffaloBill Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 @AdamSchefter Former Vikings and Cardinals coach Dennis Green died early this morning after suffering cardiac arrest, per friend Ray Anderson. He was 67. May he R.I.P....
machine gun kelly Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Too young. I'm sorry for the loss for the family. Losing my mom at 71 and I was 40 was too young. He seemed like a good coach and guy. One interview haunted him. He was just pissed they lost. Like Cam did a better job at this SB? He was one of the winningest NFL coaches of the 1990's. RIP Coach.
Freddie's Dead Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Dennis Green let off the final hook. RIP Coach.
3rdand12 Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I sure liked Dennis Green. One of those folks you know would be great to have a soda pop with and talk about the weather or something. Great Coach too. To a better place I hope. Condolences to Family
jester43 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 We were away on vacation and I missed this. Very sad news. He is from Harrisburg and is revered down here in Central PA. RIP.
Mister Defense Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Dennis Green always seemed like a good guy, someone you would want to play hard for. And I think people forget how good of a coach he was at Minnesota: --in ten years as head coach his Viking teams finished 1st or 2nd in the NFC Central 7 times --they made the playoffs 8 out of those ten years --and he finished his Vikings' tenure with a 97-62 record So, yeah, you will probably see and hear that tirade after the Bears game today, this week. I always liked that, how honest he was. But Greenwas an excellent head coach.
