Saxum Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Pokémon Go players trespassing while playing game http://www.wftv.com/news/local/pokmon-go-players-trespassing-while-playing-game/397963638 A Winter Garden couple told Channel 9’s Lauren Seabrook that people have been crawling under and even cutting through their fence to capture a Pokémon character. The couple owns 50,000 acres of property and are not sure how many characters have been placed there. Seems like Nintendo should be charged for trespassing.
Chef Jim Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Ok I've seen this on the news recently and so to me it looks like a scavenger hunt and if it is and anyone over the age of 15 is playing they really, really need to get a life.

I think they are? I don't play and don't plan on it, but really what's the harm here (well, you know...for the people that AREN'T breaking the law)?? People are out of their houses, often hanging out with others or groups of others (I've seen pictures of big groups of people walking around Albuquerque). Friends are doing it together. Parents are taking their kids out. Seriously, seems like harmless fun to me (again, sans law breakers).

Getting out with friends is great but enjoy your surroundings and the company of those you're with not staring at the screen of your phone.

There have already been at least two armed robbery's when someone shows up somewhere semi-remote to end up staring down the barrell of a gun, and robbed. Society is to effed up for this stuff. maybe 50 years ago in simpler times when kids could actually go out unescorted and play. of course sports, and exercise was the norm. No one needed to have their face buried in a i-phone 18 hours a day looking for harmless fun.
Just Jack Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Today at work a bunch of mid 20's guys were making fun of one guy, calling him a Star Wars nerd, then they went right into discussing Pokemon Go and what characters they captured, where to find gyms, etc.
Saxum Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 They ought to combine it with "Survivor" to Pokemon Survivor and make them search for a Pokemon in Miami Everglades; sure a few may be eaten by alligators but that is why they call it Survivor.

ExiledInIllinois Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) Today at work a bunch of mid 20's guys were making fun of one guy, calling him a Star Wars nerd, then they went right into discussing Pokemon Go and what characters they captured, where to find gyms, etc.I mock both. I am an equal opportunity mocker. ;-) Jim is right... I am on my phone now, but home. This trend has a potential to become a sick joke. Just this afternoon, I was out spraying weed killer in my cracks (he he, purposely stated that way for your general amusement). At corner of the street, a 40ish lady sitting on a scooter (yes, kinda fat too... Sorry for being mean) @ the corner my street... Staring @ her phone. I shout over: "Find any?" She looks all embarrassed and gives me the line she was out putting in job applications and decided to see if she can find some Pokemons... As I like to say: "Pikachus." The first thing that flashes in my alreay chocked full brain of pop culture references is this line: "I come home one particular evening The landlady said, "You got the rent money yet?", I said, "No, can't find no job, Therefore I ain't got no money to pay the rent" She said "I don't believe you're tryin' to find no job" Said "I seen you today you was standin' on a corner, Leaning up against a post" I said "But I'm tired, I've been walkin' all day" She said "That don't confront me, Long as I get my money next Friday" Now next Friday come I didn't have the rent, And out the door I went..." Yeah, right Lady! ;-) ;-) They ought to combine it with "Survivor" to Pokemon Survivor and make them search for a Pokemon in Miami Everglades; sure a few may be eaten by alligators but that is why they call it Survivor. LMAO! Great concept Then next season: Pokemon Survivor: Mount Kīlauea Edited July 13, 2016 by ExiledInIllinois

God I hated Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jews.
ExiledInIllinois Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 God I hated Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jews. Little bit to far to the east, but it will suffice. No need getting Joe Biden involved! :-)

Just Jack Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 The Holocaust Museum and 9/11 Memorial are Pokemon stops.... https://www.buzzfeed.com/juliareinstein/holocaust-museum-pokemon-go
unbillievable Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I found the gate to my back yard open today. I think there is a Squirtle in my pool.
apuszczalowski Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 I got home from work @ 0630 today and there are tree teenagers in front of my house with cellphones... They were discussing something. Are they playing Pokémon Go or should I get my gun? Wow.. That is a neat trick: Type Pokémon and the accent above the "e" is automatically added! Cool site you got here SDS! On the news today they mentioned that criminals are taking advantage of the craze and waiting till someone is in a secluded area, they then victimize the Pokémon Go player(s). EDIT: http://www.theverge.com/2016/7/10/12142434/pokemon-go-armed-robberies-missouri I would suggest getting the gun IF they are playing Pokemon...... Then you're not as old as I am. I didn't even bother. Not because I'd not understand it but because I don't care. Now GET THE !@#$ OFF MY LAWN!! Its sad, I know I'm not nearly as old as you are and yet i still have that same attitude towards this and many things......
