Classic tech issues - prices are dropping but content in 4K will not be broadly available until more sets are in homes. 8k TV's supposedly coming. Has anybody got 4K UHD yet? If so, do you think it is worth the extra cost now or is waiting better? Do you have hidden issues, perhaps you had to buy additional hardware to support it or use it?

We are moving and I have to get a new TV to better fit the space in the den/ TV room - just not sure I should spend the extra money on UHD now.

I actually sorta don't like them. It gives an odd 3D effect that i cant get used to. It is certainly a crystal clear picture, though.

My mom and step dad bought a 100 inch, which is a ridiculous size for their small living room. I have no idea what they spent. I definitely won't be buying one until prices drop.

100 inch ... Wow... I thought my 80 inch HD was huge.... Does size matter?...

Good deal on one now at Amazon Prime Day or even better at Walmart trying to undercut them

There's a Samsung 55-inch 4K Ultra HDTV available for $598, or 50% off.
Walmart launched a month-long "Rollbacks" promotion on July 1, and upped the ante on Monday when it announced free shipping on all online orders through Friday.

Question, I dont know how it is in the States but here in Canada, there are only a few channels that are 4K

In fact, as of right now, I think its only hockey games on one channel. And you need to buy a 4K HD box from our cable company

Is it the same kind of deal for you guys?
