mead107
If the guy did not put his hands up and tell the officer he had a gun then yes Kind of like the 3 girls at U Albany, the white guy started it. Then hold a big rally to show big support for them sayi we did not deserve it. All proved wrong and that they started it. If you're an azz hole your an ****. mrags
So it okay that the officer killed him? He deserved to die?were you there? Did he make a sudden move for the gun that was in his lap illegally?
flomoe
And for those that haven't seen it. It would appear that the shooting in MO was not unjust as people may have seen it. Castille, was actually the driver. Had a firearm in his lap, was NOT a concealed carry holder, and was a suspect in a robbery from jist a few days ago. But the media decided to roll with the woman's video as fact before finding the real truth to the whole situation. Blame the media for all this crap. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/07/08/confirmed-philando-castile-was-an-armed-robbery-suspect-false-media-narrative-now-driving-cop-killings/ Again the media fuels the fire to get all this crap going
ExiledInIllinois
were you there? Did he make a sudden move for the gun that was in his lap illegally? There was a live stream of the incident. We were all there. If the officer is that scared handling a routine traffic stop knowing that anybody could be armed in this day and age... Then he is in the wrong job. Who is in control of that traffic stop? Again the media fuels the fire to get all this crap goingThen blame FaceBook... That live stream was the "media outlet." Is FB now part of the "media conspiracy?" Edited July 9, 2016 by ExiledInIllinois
Just Jack
There was a live stream of the incident. We were all there. " The live stream you're seeing did not start until after the shooting. We have not seen anything before it. You should read the entire article Mrags posted, Castile was not the Saint the media is making us believe. And I'll add that just because officers are trained to handle these situations, it doesn't mean that they should be comfortable with them. If you knowingly were in the presence of a suspected armed robber and he had a weapon in his lap and you were the only person standing between freedom and prison... Wouldn't you be a little uneasy? mead107
It always seems that the victims are all upstanding citizens, post pictures of them from years ago all dressed up an looking good right after the incident. Then you find out after everyone has jumped down on the police a few weeks later that they are scumbags who are total azzholes. Yes there are some bad cops but when you get pulled over you comply. Why do these azzholes think they do not have to comply.

On the side of the road isn't the time to fight your case or argue. You will have your day in court. And let me be clear about this. If you are usually codial and not defensive towards the police they will usually be easier on you.
ALF
All Officers should have body cameras with audio going before they approach anyone. No excuse it fell off would be good. The traffic stop in MN is another , did he ask the driver for his license or say don't reach for it ? If the driver is terrified he may not even hear the orders. If you are usually codial and not defensive towards the police they will usually be easier on you. This! We agree. It is their playground. Surrender and wait for your court date. Unfortunately many will be sitting in the pokery waiting to see the judge. People's game theory skills are way outta whack... Always going high risk, high yield usually gets them worst outcome! Then again... I am not black. All Officers should have body cameras with audio going before they approach anyone. No excuse it fell off would be good. I have been doing my job at The Lock for almost 30 years... I can do it in my sleep. Many people who transit in boats, that don't have practice, etc... Simply can't process things... Even know everything is like watching paint dry and appears so damn easy and procedural! Same with the cops, thet ain't staring at "how the hell am I gonna make court, pay this ticket, etc..." It is their job, they know every bump on the roads in town. People will simpy have blinders on. You think they want the citizenry knowing where they are watching from, when they make shift change, etc... Etc... Marv's Neighbor
People have no R-E-S-P-E-C-T! ExiledInIllinois
That is insane...It sure is! Amazing how humans are pschologically damaged. After 911... You wouldn't believe how many bomb threats poured into where I work. All done over the air on marine radio... Same into the USCG. They had fits trying to figure it out, until the calls (usually every Monday at around 15:00) burned themselves out. People are simply pukes!!! Every wacko comes out of the closet. I agree some of this crap should be surpressed by the media. Edited July 9, 2016 by ExiledInIllinois

I can argue all day long. My son just made Eagle Scout. Knock the Scouts all anybody wants, but simply live by: Cheerful service to others. (Police are you listening, not just your bros in blue... Citizens are you listening?) Do your best. Do a good turn. Help other people @ all times... Followed by the full Scout Law, Oath, etc. Mix a little God of your choosing and what can go wrong. What could go wrong? Morally straight is quite the sticky issue. Oh yeah. Do unto others... But it all comes back to respecting oneself & others! mead107
You are talking a few interaction between police and scumbags out of let's say 500,000 ( on the low side I would think) interaction every day. Some are going to turn out bad
Blokestradamus
All Officers should have body cameras with audio going before they approach anyone. No excuse it fell off would be good. I would've thought that there would be little objection by clean officers to wearing them. Police forces could use the footage of officers helping people on a daily basis as good PR. As it currently stands, the only footage I see of cops is shot by the people stopped (normally after the reason they're being pulled over). Obviously finances are the biggest issue as to why there aren't mandatory yet.

Same w/my pension. 1.5% goes in from me... I will barely see 60% full pay when I retire fron Fed. It is my job to shore up with 401k (TSP)... Others savings, and then SS (we do kick in as FERS employee). Gee, a % of say 5k isn't that bad for on the job equipment needed, safety... Etc... Heck, it might even be tax deductible (union dues, safety equipment). Okay... Say we get that down to 2 grand a cop. Is that bad?
