Keukasmallies Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Sahlen's natural casing is #1; Hoffman's natural casing #2...and so it goes.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 I will have to try the boars head now. Â Otherwise, I like Hebrew nats for a super market dog.
Gugny Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 * Nathan’s Famous Skinless Beef Franks • Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners• Hebrew National Beef Franks• Hebrew National 97% Fat Free Beef Franks• Sabrett Skinless Beef Frankfurters• Ball Park Beef Franks• Boar’s Head Beef Frankfurters with Natural Casing• Applegate The Great Organic Uncured Beef Hot Dog• Just FreshDirect 100% Grass-Fed Organic Uncured Beef Hot Dogs  With these as the choices, for me, it's a toss-up between Sabrett and Hebrew National (the regular ones - although, the 97% fat free are BY FAR the best low fat dogs out there). But they are entirely different hot dogs, so I think to have to choose between the two is kind of dumb.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 McKenzie's aren't bad for super market dog. I have only seen them here in Vermont though.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Zwiegles are the best, in my humble opinion😆 White hots!!
Captain_Quint Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Brightleaf Red Dogs. Â In case the regular hot dog ingredients dont give you enough cancer, the red dye will.
mead107 Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 (edited) I like the red ones. http://www.glazierhotdog.com/#2900 Edited July 1, 2016 by mead107
CowgirlsFan Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 White hots!! My favorite too! Had my first late last August at Old Orchard Creek overlooking Lake Ontario.
frostbitmic Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Zweigles white hots  I found some bison dogs last year that were the best "dog" I've ever had, haven't been able to find them this year.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 My favorite too! Had my first late last August at Old Orchard Creek overlooking Lake Ontario. So tasty and unique. I have fond memories of white hots from growing up in Rochester.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Went to the store and didn't see the boars head dogs. They must be too fancy for the hot dog aisle, I guess.
Beerball Posted July 2, 2016 Author Posted July 2, 2016 Went to the store and didn't see the boars head dogs. They must be too fancy for the hot dog aisle, I guess. Yeah, I would check the deli.
