Beerball Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 From GunnerBill: Who is/are the Bills kick/punt return guys in 2016? Punt catchers need not apply.
GunnerBill Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) I think Walt Powell might be ahead of the pack, but those last few spots on the roster the special teams spots are going to be interesting to see shake out. Alexander, Lattimore, Anderson, Easley all bring coverage / gunner skills, Powell and Arenas are in the mix as returners.... can they genuinely keep all 6? Probably not.... even 5 might be a stretch (and that would certainly rule out the possibility of an extra kicker too). Edited June 22, 2016 by GunnerBill
CommonCents Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 For me, it's Javier Arenas' job to lose. The last time he returned a punt was 2013 and he fumbled it.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 The last time he returned a punt was 2013 and he fumbled it. I see... He really is mckelvins replacement
Chandler#81 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Listenbee. If he can hit a seam.. ..Carpenter will miss the EP. Also a way to get him on the 53 vs PS..
Blokestradamus Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 The last time he returned a punt was 2013 and he fumbled it. He has the skill set to return and he can contribute as a slot corner. If guys like Seymour and Moore outplay him at CB, we'll find another option. He's also found himself behind Patrick Peterson and Devin Hester on the return depth chart in his last 2 active seasons.
Mike in Horseheads Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Goodwin for one long jump before he gets hurt.
Saxum Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Listenbee. If he can hit a seam.. ..Carpenter will miss the EP. Also a way to get him on the 53 vs PS.. He will absolutely miss it - a 15% failure rate guarantees it! (he missed 6 of 40 EP while recovering from injury in preseason/training camp)
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) Every year I say Woods. So... Woods I 'wood' think he'd be perfect. Maybe not a home run threat, but I'd expect routine production and sure hands. Edited June 22, 2016 by over 20 years of fanhood
3rdand12 Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 (edited) Listenbee. If he can hit a seam.. ..Carpenter will miss the EP. Also a way to get him on the 53 vs PS.. no. please. We need to keep him in a positive light as long as possible Every year I say Woods. So... Woods and yet another NO We need him healthy at WR Goodwin for one long jump before he gets hurt. yep, let him get killed in the hope he can return one for six. an honorable death for all that hate him Edited June 22, 2016 by 3rdand12
YoloinOhio Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 @mikerodak Following up from this last night, I'm told Powell is fine after this play. He has a good shot to make 53-man.
