eball Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 So if I have this right, *your* Buffalo Sabres will likely start the season tonight minus Eichel, ROR, and Okposo?

shrader Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 They really need to rename that injury. High ankle sprain sounds so tame, like something you recover from overnight. Maybe something like high ankle explosion or even just plain old death would be more appropriate given the response from the fans. It sucks in the short term, but we'll get plenty of hockey out of him for years to come. I'm most curious to see if Reinhart can further establish himself now. As for Matthews, the way things go with so many rookies, I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up with about 15 goals all season. The road is always so bumpy for these teenagers.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 So if I have this right, *your* Buffalo Sabres will likely start the season tonight minus Eichel, ROR, and Okposo?Be aware that the Habs are likely without star goalie Carey Price.

26CornerBlitz Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 @BuffNewsVogl As Sabres open their schedule, read how an inordinate number of games against rested teams could affect point total. https://t.co/hai5USbEq4
eball Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 On the plus side, it looks like DTV got their issues worked out. All Center Ice channels appear to be active.
USMCBillsFan Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 That's my luck. Got tickets for the Sabres November 9th, paid extra for the first row on the glass right next to the Sabres bench and Eichel is out. This will be my first home Sabres game since they played at the Aud and this is what I get.
LB3 Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Matthews has some serious puck skills. Luckily, the Sens still got the win. The Toronto MNM line should be fun to watch this year.
ExiledInIllinois Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Don't worry. They lost and that were the only goals scored for Leafs. Now everybody on planet will get message to not take him lighty... Which Ottawa probably did @ first. Probably just didn't know how to play him, match against. Sens eventually won the game. Let them have their day in the sun. One for the record books, hopefully it was an outlier game. I will worry for balance of the Sabres-Leafs rivalry if it happens more or if this wasn't just the first game. I mean, he is an elite player! Be aware that the Habs are likely without star goalie Carey Price. Wow... Still?

26CornerBlitz Posted October 13, 2016 Author Posted October 13, 2016 @john_wawrow Hearing optimistic projection for Eichel is he could start getting back on feet within 2 weeks. #Sabres. Bylsma called it moderate sprain. @JoeYerdon To sum up tonight for the #Sabres: No Eichel No Okposo No Kulikov
