YoloinOhio Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 @2minsforhockey Alright #Sabres fans, one specialist I know reviewed the tape and thinks it's a Grade II sprain, 3-6 week injury. #Eichel

To me, seems rare for NHL players to blow out knees and acl, mcl, etc. At least not near at the rate of NFL players

eball Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 @2minsforhockey Alright #Sabres fans, one specialist I know reviewed the tape and thinks it's a Grade II sprain, 3-6 week injury. #Eichel Thank goodness this isn't how medical conditions are actually diagnosed. I'll wait for the doc that actually lays hands on Eichel to give us the dx.
shrader Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Thank goodness this isn't how medical conditions are actually diagnosed. I'll wait for the doc that actually lays hands on Eichel to give us the dx. A doctor I work with said something along the lines of "we don't like to diagnose over the phone". That feels appropriate here. I can't help but wonder about any of these doctors who go out of their way to publicly diagnose from afar.
MarkAF43 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 that looked painful, fingers crossed for Jack's sake.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 12, 2016 Author Posted October 12, 2016 @TSNBobMcKenzie Initial diagnosis on Jack Eichel immediately after incident was high ankle sprain, but Eichel is seeing doctors/getting imaging done. Whether there is more definitive/different diagnosis still to be seen, but for now BUF anticipates minimum 4-6 wk absence, perhaps longer. In any case, as stated, BUF awaiting a more detailed diagnosis/prognosis on Eichel.
plenzmd1 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Can you imagine if we open the season tomorrow with no Jack, No Kyle and No Ryan..wow.. At least the Panthers tickets in a couple weeks might be cheaper.
snafu Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 Did I just read the last 16 posts right? Holy cripe, that sucks. I cant frikkin believe it!
26CornerBlitz Posted October 12, 2016 Author Posted October 12, 2016 @BuffaloSabres Injury Update: Jack Eichel has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain. As of now, no timetable has been set for his return.
YoloinOhio Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) Anyone else a little relieved? I mean, it royally sucks. But I was fearing the whole season. Edited October 12, 2016 by YoloinOhio

The point is he just trying to guess via viewing the tape. He said he "thinks" what it is... Just a guess man... It means nothing. Just take as that.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) McAnkle So buffalo. Succeed at the tank, don't get McDavid. Eichel has a solid season, then major inury. Also, at WGR for the funeral music. Edited October 12, 2016 by joesixpack
