thebug Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Okay, I am not trying to swarmy here...but WTF is that on Lehner's face? looks like an extra set of lips between his eyes and ears on left side??? Maybe Crosby slashed him in the face?
BillsFan4 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 https://mobile.twitter.com/AmerksHockey/status/845384494848888832 Â Sabres signed goalie Jonas Johansson to a contract. He was drafted by buffalo (in 2014 IIRC). Â I am worried that this makes it harder to get Cal Peterson signed. I will be very sad if he decides to leave college and turn UFA this summer. I still think he is our goalie of the future...

DC Tom Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Wonder how you guys would feel if Jack Eichel was hit like that? Probably want the guy kicked out of the league for life. Everyone is out to screw the Sabres!! Â I'd feel it wasn't a three game suspension. I'm not even sure how that was a game misconduct. Sens coach said his finger was "shattered." Out for "weeks!" Â Not that it matters, since he was probably going to be suspended for getting blood on Crosby's stick anyway...

I don't think I've ever seen that before.
snafu Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 That will be wild if they really put an all-forward first team power play on the ice. I don't think I've ever seen that before. I understand why this team does it, and lord knows their power play has been tops in the league this season, but I hate when forwards play the point on the power play.

ExiledInIllinois Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 (edited) And Crosby doesn't even get a second look... Alaska Darin Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Nope, no players or teams get special treatment.
plenzmd1 Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 (edited) I am worried that this makes it harder to get Cal Peterson signed. I will be very sad if he decides to leave college and turn UFA this summer. I still think he is our goalie of the future... why would Peterson sign? And I am not being pissy, just pragmatic. Waits a couple of months, he can tour the country, find out what city/situation/team fits him best. Money I think will be the same no matter where he goes, unless maybe goalies not getting the max?  Maybe it comes down to a team guaranteeing him NHL next season, with a certain number of starts??? Vegas?  I can't remember a goalie ever be a college UFA...any one else?  BTW, saw this as explanation for all the no calls against Crosby  https://twitter.com/miakhalifa/status/845115858724667393 Edited March 25, 2017 by plenzmd1
