LB3 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 As a Sens fan, I'm pretty encouraged by how Colin White and Thomas Chabot looked in WJC tourney.
JohnC Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) As a Sens fan, I'm pretty encouraged by how Colin White and Thomas Chabot looked in WJC tourney. I'll make a deal with you. Give us one of those two prospects and we will give you back Lehner. There is no need to thank me for my generosity. As I have said on other occasions I would have rather used the first round pick for a high end prospect in the pipeline instead of dealing for the gargantuan goalie with a crazy man look when he gets mad. thebug Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) As a Sens fan, I'm pretty encouraged by how Colin White and Thomas Chabot looked in WJC tourney. Chabot was probably the best player in the entire tourney! He's a dandy for sure! White was very consistent, I think he may have scored in every game? Edited January 7, 2017 by thebug

Yeah. That was a really bad trade for you guys. That 21st pick we got was Colin White. Luckily for me, they have said they're both almost untouchable in a trade. I've been surprised that things haven't come together more for you guys. I was thinking they'd be in position for a wild card spot. I know the Sabres have been devastated by injuries, but I thought they had some nice pieces with Reinhart and Risto really coming on last year and bringing in Okposo. Maybe once they're healthy they'll go on a run. Chabot was probably the best player in the entire tourney! He's a dandy for sure! He definitely was. I'm still glad we sent him back down for one more year to develop though.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 7, 2017 Author Posted January 7, 2017 @amymoritz It's an afternoon game and we've got your 5 things to know as the Sabres host the Jets. https://t.co/C2ldhKagQV
plenzmd1 Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) McCabe having a rough go of it today. Stafford and Armia score of course!!!! Bogo standing still Edited January 7, 2017 by plenzmd1
QCity Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Maybe once they're healthy they'll go on a run. They're healthy, that excuse is gone now. That 3rd period was both incredibly exciting and incredibly aggravating to me. What's it going to take to get them to play like that for 60 minutes?
bbb Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 As a Sens fan, I'm pretty encouraged by how Colin White and Thomas Chabot looked in WJC tourney. Are you from the Binghamton area? Seems like a lot of people there follow their Sens to Ottawa.
ChevyVanMiller Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 What a 3rd period. Too bad the linesman wouldn't let Lehner throw them with Byfuglien, I think Robin would have knocked him out. Big win for the Blue and Gold.
JohnC Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 I was only able to watch the third period. It was a terrific to watch. No doubt that O'Reilly was one of the best players on the ice for us (from the part that I witnessed) but the most positive takeaway was the play of Girgenson. The Gionta goal was a nifty goal from a veteran who exhibited patience that put him in position to score. If we can get some scoring from our secondary scorers that will make a big difference. Armia looked good in this game. Good skater with skill.

What's it going to take to get them to play like that for 60 minutes? ^This. If players have to wait to get reamed by the coach on the bench and in full view, it tells me they don't have it in themselves in the first place. How many times have we seen them come out listless this year? We need a Drury.
DC Tom Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 That hit hurt just to watch. Clean hit, too. Anyone hear any news on Laine's status?
Alaska Darin Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 That hit hurt just to watch. Clean hit, too. Anyone hear any news on Laine's status? He was seen walking to the bus. They haven't said anything else.
ChevyVanMiller Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 Did you see the mouse under McCabe's eye as a result of the hit? He had a huge Frankenstein scar underneath it, multiple stitches. That was one monster hit.
