bbb Posted October 17, 2016 Posted October 17, 2016 He was asleep through all of it, but these were my dad's last Sabres and Bills games and I choose to believe that they kicked ass for him. I think they did, as well. Condolences, Shrader.

eball Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Is "cracked ribs" really a medical diagnosis? I've never heard of anyone sustaining a "cracked" femur. It's just funny to me; I believe "fractured ribs" is what a doctor would diagnose.

Basically time is the healer and little can be done to accelerate the process.
eball Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I had a cracked femur and still have three screws in my leg. Basically time is the healer and little can be done to accelerate the process. So you're saying "cracked" rather than "fractured" was your clinical diagnosis?
26CornerBlitz Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 @JourdonLaBarber Nick Baptiste takes first reps on a line with Derek Grant and Matt Moulson. That's a good sign for him to possibly make his debut today. #Sabres lines: Reinhart-O'Reilly-Okposo Foligno-Larsson-Gionta Ennis-Girgensons-Deslauriers Moulson-Grant-Baptiste D-pairs look the same: Gorges-Risto McCabe-Bogosian Kulikov-Franson Flames Projected Lineup FORWARDS Johnny Gaudreau - Sean Monahan - Kris Versteeg Matthew Tkachuk - Sam Bennett - Troy Brouwer Lance Bouma - Mikael Backlund - Michael Frolik Micheal Ferland - Matt Stajan - Alex Chiasson DEFENCE Mark Giordano - TJ Brodie Dougie Hamilton - Jyrki Jokipakka Brett Kulak - Deryk Engelland GOALTENDER Chad Johnson
JohnC Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 So you're saying "cracked" rather than "fractured" was your clinical diagnosis? I was in so much pain that I was not concerned with the precision of the medical terminology. The ambulance ride was bumpy and I was in excruciating pain. Upon arrival to the hospital I was placed on a stretcher and pushed by an assshole young orderly who was reckless pushing me like I was a dead carcass to the freezing basement in order to get an x-ray. After threatening to punch his F####ing face in he became more delicate in the manner he was handling me. In addition, while waiting alone in the polar basement for my turn in the x-ray room I had to desperately take a peeee; I couldn't do it without assistance. Other than that things went as well as could be expected. Much to my chagrin I couldn't remember whether the staff used the word "fractured" or "cracked" to describe my injury.
Alaska Darin Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 I had 2 fractured ribs in high school. It hurt to breath for like 3 weeks. Laughing was literally the worst thing in the world.
GG Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Laughing was literally the worst thing in the world. I guess that explains you later in life.

26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 @BuffaloSabres Winning where it matters after two.
Simon Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I had 2 fractured ribs in high school. It hurt to breath for like 3 weeks. Laughing was literally the worst thing in the world. You only think that because you weren't a rope-smokling redneck in HS. If you were, you'd know that coughing with cracked ribs was even worse.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 @BuffaloSabres Sean Monahan scores the OT winner. 4-3 final.
GG Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Nice for the refs to put the whistles away in last three minutes.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 19, 2016 Author Posted October 19, 2016 Nice for the refs to put the whistles away in last three minutes. Monahan got away with a penalty in OT just before netting the winner. It was the National "Hokey" League tonight when you factor in the Flames 1st goal that shouldn't have counted. @Sportsnet #Flames Monahan not penalized, sticks it to #Sabres in OT @SubwayCanada #SubwayCanada https://snappytv-a.akamaihd.net/local/error_geoblock_ld240p.mp4

eball Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 Disappointed in the softie Lehner gave up to tie it at 3...otherwise that was an entertaining game. It was the first one I've gotten a chance to watch and I was impressed with how the Sabres played.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 A point is a point. At least they got 1.
